Labor union officials Obama betrayed health-care rollout

Labor leaders who have spent months lobbying unsuccessfully for special protections under the Affordable Care Act warned this week that the White House’s continued refusal to help is dampening union support for Democratic candidates in this year’s midterm elections.

Leaders of two major unions, including the first to endorse Obama in 2008, said they have been betrayed by an administration that wooed their support for the 2009 legislation with promises to later address the peculiar needs of union-negotiated insurance plans that cover millions of workers. Their complaints reflect a broad sense of disappointment among many labor leaders, who say the Affordable Care Act has subjected union health plans to new taxes and mandates while not allowing them to share in the subsidies that have gone to private insurance companies competing on the newly created exchanges.

Anyone who thinks Obama is to care for anything on US soil is a complete moron who needs a real wake up kick in the arse.

WHAT??????? He lied to the union guys? Now it’s getting funny. First a bunch of chi-town “community organizers” hammer him after the mistake of the union address. Then the ecowackos start whining because we still produce petroleum products in the US. Now the unions are whining cause they got snookered? What’s next? Trespasser from meh-hee-koo gonna turn on him?

The unions have to be the ultimate useful idiots. Once the lefties get absolute power, they are among the first victims.

America’s Labor Unions

They don’t give an Obama about the ongoing destruction of the nation, the right or wrong of Obamacare, about the shyster in the White House or the democrat and RINO crooks and hypocrites in congress.

All they are concerned with is carving out a special deal for themselves.

Simple intra-mural political activities. . . . between coercive power organizations.

Neither will come down on the side of individual freedom and opportunity for all.

Witness the "minimum wage" arguments which purport to "help the poor," but, in fact, keep poor youth and others off the jobs ladder, while serving to raise wages of union workers already up the ladder. For more on this, read the writings of Walter E. Williams.

When election time comes, those who favor power for political opportunists and big labor unions will vote for so-called "progressive" regressives.

In the old days, if one “gang” screwed another, such as in the mafia times, one or the other would wind up with cement shoes. “Oh for the good old days!”

I don't understand why we don't take advantage of a great opportunity here.

There is a gaping disconnect between union leadership and the rank and file. On issues like immigration reform, deregulation, energy, the EPA, health care and job creation to name just a few the rank and file are on our side.

Their leaders are leftists with an agenda detrimental to the rank and files current interests and well being and future prospects.

If the GOP was smart (I know...) they would be sowing discord if not total chaos between the rank and file and their treasonous leftist democrat leadership.

Years ago the Teamsters were solidly republican.

Why has the GOP failed to exploit this obvious opportunity?

Because they are fully owned by the Chamber of Commerce and big corporate and are more concerned with profits and crony access to tax money than anything else.

It the Tea Party ever breaks away, I hope they are smarter than the GOP and not abandon this field of battle with out a fight.

That speaks to how corrupt the union leaders are. The unions could really win back the American people if they stood up against immigration and the left wing agenda.

The unions made out like bandits with exemptions. They also got a big chunk of the slush fund for cro creating ‘exchanges’. Billions.

Even now they are just omplaining they didn’t get as much as they wanted:
“The rules change... exempts “self-administered, self-insured group health plans” from the law’s reinsurance fee.
The shift will raise the cost of the tax for those who do pay to $44 a year. It had previously been $42. In essence, the change is forcing those who don’t get the exception [that the unions do] to pay an extra $2 for those who do...”

The WashPost ALWAYS lies.

They would still vote 110% for their beloved Obozo if he ran again.

In the upcoming Nov 2014 elections, live and dead union thugs will vote for the rats ruining their country.
