In a speech in Wisconsin on Thursday, President Barack Obama insulted perhaps the most fervent members of his political base: art history majors.
The politically clumsy moment occurred during the president’s remarks at General Electric’s Waukesha Gas Engines facility.
After extolling his own economic policies at some length, Obama observed that “manufacturing jobs typically pay well” in the United States. “We want to encourage more of them,” he said.
Then, he began to speak — apparently extemporaneously — about the benefits of working in America’s ever-diminishing manufacturing sector.

I just really liked the headline....
Obama is such a dim bulb. This is a guy whose only non-academic or non-government job was a summer job scooping ice cream at a Baskin Robbins (from which he was fired).
And his idea of art is a few African masks that he has installed in the WH, and his concept of the arts in general is a bunch of thuggish rappers pulling down hundreds of millions of dollars and running out to kiss his hand at celebrity bashes.
Worth noting that UK’s Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge were both art history majors at St. Andrews.
He at least left alone the revered Underwater Basket Weavers degree.
Obama needs more horses like Boxer to make sure he has his supply of whiskey.
Obama knows his supporters are idiots. Sometimes he forgets they don’t realize it.
Obama is just clumsy enough, if surprised with a teleprompter malfunction, to blurt out something about his supporters being “useful idiots”.

This doesn't mean we have a lot of druggies here. I think it means that the people who are "clean" already have jobs and aren't interested in changing. Local employers are scraping the bottom of the barrel, and the people down there include a lot of druggies.
