KANSAS CITY, Mo. A local man continued his fight against deportation just days after President Barack Obama renewed his calls for immigration reform. Josue Sandoval is a father of two whos been living peacefully but illegally in Kansas City for almost 16 years. Josue faced a deportation decision Friday. His request for a stay was denied, but his attorney has appealed that decision. Josues future in the states is still unclear as of Friday evening. While the legal proceedings were ongoing, his wife, two kids, friends and community members held a rally in Washington Square Park, facing Immigration Park, sending a message to a system they call broken. Others say the law is the law. Communities Creating Opportunity, the group whos been helping Josues family, says he is a family man with no criminal history and hes dutifully paid his taxes since he arrived on American soil in 1998. Josue was taken in by ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) after an investigation at his place of employment. With Josue detained for the past two weeks, his 17-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter spoke emotionally at Friday afternoons rally. My dad is a hardworking man. He came to this country to make a better life for me, my sister and our family. All I want is everything to be normal again and all families to be together including mine, said Josues daughter, Nayelli, who was born in the United States. I just want my dad to be here with me. Because its not the same no more. Its like everything starts to be different, said Josues son, Erik, who was brought to the U.S. by his parents when he was just one-year-old. Fridays rally was also a call for immigration reform

President Eisenhower was able to deport most illegals six decades ago, now both parties want to reward 50 million criminals?
No way, Jose!
Actually, he was found with marijuana some 8-10 years ago and deported. he came back.
This case is not nearly as heart wrenching as they want it to be.
I live in the area and say he deserves to see the other side of the border, forcibly. Any new return should be halted with prejudice.
The fact that they are rejecting this route indicates that either (a)he isn't so wonderful and there is something in his background which would make said special relief bill embarrassing or impossible or (b)he wants to be a poster boy for the blanket amnesty crowd which opposes deporting anybody for any reason.
Which is it? Maybe both?
I wonder what would happen to me if I was discovered to have been "living peacefully but illegally" in Bella Pelosi's living room?
Go home and get to the back of the LEGAL line. It’s not rocket science.
That's what I keep thinking every time I think of this amnesty thing. And the reason it was done would be more than fitting today.
the group whos been helping Josues family, says he is a family man with no criminal history and hes dutifully paid his taxes since he arrived on American soil in 1998
The moment he stepped across the border his criminal history began and when he stole someone’s social security ID he cemented his criminal history.
I won’t get into how much welfare fraud he has committed and I’m sure his “spawn” were pillars of the community. /sarc
“A local man ...” - FAIL!
I think Truman & Eisenhower were both in on that deportation success.
I’m always amused by the families who say they just want to be together if one is threatened with deportation.
Seems simple to me——just leave with them.
.
The usual brain dead mantras used here
“path to citizenship”
“broken immigration system”
These 25-30 million illegal aliens here are the ones who broke it
I could give a flip if this guy gets deported but I wonder why he was picked out? Unlucky I suppose
Now we get to take care of his kids. Maybe mom can get a ITIN number and bilk us some more
Maybe, but that assumes we weren’t taking care of them before.
Thought crossed my mind after I posted. You can bet medical bills, education and food has been supplied.
