Drive For History
Delivering in the clutch is how stars become legends. So, who will be immortalized in Super Bowl XLVIII? Garber » A potential classic » Double Coverage » SB momentsPhoto Gallery Picks » Matchups » SB HQ »
Got to go with the better defensive team.
Depends on the condition of the field. If the footing is good, then the Seahawks corners will be able to challenge Manning’s accurate passing game.
Look for the Seahawks to work some read option into their offence as well.
Denver 24 Seattle 23
May the least left wing team win.
Russell Wilson is religious and seems to be conservative. This is the first Cannabis Bowl. There are getting high in Washington and Colorado as we speak.
That is a matter of opinion.
Who cares? Super bowl games never meet the hype.
“Denver 24 Seattle 23”
Well with the Tin Foil crowd in cyberland spreading a false flag warning of a inside job terror attack in the form of poison gas released in the stadium with blocked exits, to be followed by a new one world government, as George Carlin used to say, I wouldn’t sweat the score.
The addition of Percy Harvin changes the dynamics of the game. Harvin is the superstar receiver the Seahawks have lacked most of the season.
The big question about Harvin is not his innate ability. It’s how well he will mesh with the team when he hasn’t been healthy enough to play more than a few downs with the team all season. It’s a team sport.
The Seahawks were already superior to the Broncos on special teams and defense. If Harvin juices the offense as much as he is capable of then the Seahawks offense will be too much for the Broncos as well.
My guess is that Harvin will be at full strength personally, and mesh well with the team. If he does, look for a Seahawks blow out.
(Yes, I’m a Seahawks fan... Go Hawks!)
Of course it is not the most important story. Obama always is. But for just today, it is the focus of much of the world.
According to the NFL, FOXs broadcast will reach 198 countries and territories in more than 25 languages. Media from 24 countries will provide on-site coverage, and more than 100 stations are broadcasting live from Radio Row at the Super Bowl Media Center in New Yorks Times Square.
In previous years, the NFL counted countries and territories reached by the Armed Forces Network, which broadcasts to American troops overseas and pushed the total countries well past 200. Military servicemen will still able to watch on Sunday, according to the NFL, but the league decided this year to only count countries where everyone could watch, not just AFN viewers.
If this is the ONLY LIVE thread for the Super Bowl, I think it should be left in BREAKING.
Dude, you’re thinking of the 90s and before, when 90% of them were pure crap. The last 10 years have been nothing short of miraculous; Super Bowls that have been simply AMAZING!
Excuse me. Manning has all day in the pocket.
The Adoration of Russell Wilson (a very good story about a very good guy)
Good to see you, DFU! Go Seahawks!
No rain and no snow this game is going to be over at halftime.
Why aren’t Baraq, MooseChelle, Malaria, and Sharia at the SB?
I mean NYC seems like the perfect place to hang out for a boring Sunday.
Hi Doug! Go Seahawks!!!!!!! We are ready for some football here on Whidbey Island!!!!
I think Denver’s defense will be able to contain the Seahawks enough to allow them to eke out a win.
HAWKS HAWKS HAWKS HAWKS HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Broncos will win by 10.
They will be leading by 3 points late in the 4th,and then drive for a touchdown, a TD pass in the final seconds.
Hehe. I was waiting to see how someone could zing Obama for his communism into this...that was perfect.
“Why arent Baraq, MooseChelle, Malaria, and Sharia at the SB?”
Aw,come on-—leave the kids out of it.
Freepers are better than that.
For those going NYC/NJ to see the game LIVE, keep “ the pot “ home, SARC .
....But you know WHO was the BIG FOCUS the last few weeks, YEP, it was Richard Sherman and his verbal antics.
Denver wants to send Payton Manning out in a blaze of glory!
We still love you Payton! Indy Colts fan.
I think he spells it Peyton.
The statement was certainly boneheaded, but when you visualize someone in the NFL being called a thug, do you visualize a white person or a black person? Are white players called dirty players or are they called thugs? If people answered honestly, I think they would likely visualize a thug being a black person coming from a ghetto environment and who had been involved in trouble while in school, maybe even gang activity, drugs, and weapons. Just my initial thought.
If the seahawks offense keep Manning off the field....they will win...
Denvers defense is rated 14th in the league...
Defense wins games...seahawks are # 1....
Should be a great game...
Hawks 38 Broncs 24. Seattle beat them already 40-10, sure it was preseason and Manning drove the opening drive for their only TD, but I can guarantee the Hawk defense will remember that drive. Seattle just brings too much on both sides of the ball. And remember all of Wilson’s stops by Pete Carrol will be pulled and that opens Denver’s defense up to big runs by Wilson, just too many weapons to stop. Then add in Harvin as the wildcard with super speed and I don’t in any way see a Seahawk loss. Can’t wait to watch this game!!
Yeah ... lol.
Everyone gets a trophy, ya know.
Have to level the playing field.
This 49s fan is going with the Seahawks to beat Denver by 3 points.
Win or lose, Manning is on record on sports shows saying he is not retiring. He is playing at such a high level, why would he retire? Yes, his neck seems to be a potential concern but it seems to be fine, he does not run out of the pocket, and he gets rid of the ball so quickly that he does not get hit very much.
I have other things to do with my precious time.
Do you know what is behind the Crabtree/Sherman feud? Last year at a charity golf tournament put on by Larry Fitzgerald, Sherman went to shake Crabtree’s hand and Crabtree tried to start a fight. That is no way keeps me from criticizing Sherman for taking the focus off a team victory and putting it on himself, but at least I looked into the background.
There is another video of Sherman coming up to Tom Brady after a game and saying, “You angry, bro?” Do you know what is behind that? During the game, Brady came to Sherman and another cornerback and said, “Who are you guys?” That was mildly insulting. Brady was leading at the time and said to them to see him after the game when the Patriots had won. Well, Seattle came back to win the game and so Sherman went to see him after the game.
Good to read on that. I remember the day he annouced that Indy was letting him go. If memory is correct, he looked like he was crying or about to cry. That was when sometime after that, Denver took him in.
That may be, but that doesn’t mean the games blow.
Manning is a good guy who had a great deal of loyalty to Indianapolis. It was difficult to leave, but that was the team’s choice. They were poised to draft Luck as their future and Manning’s serious neck problem helped them make the decision.
You got it. Plus also during the time that Manning not play, he helped out the coaching staff.
