Win or lose, Manning is on record on sports shows saying he is not retiring. He is playing at such a high level, why would he retire? Yes, his neck seems to be a potential concern but it seems to be fine, he does not run out of the pocket, and he gets rid of the ball so quickly that he does not get hit very much.
I have other things to do with my precious time.
Do you know what is behind the Crabtree/Sherman feud? Last year at a charity golf tournament put on by Larry Fitzgerald, Sherman went to shake Crabtree’s hand and Crabtree tried to start a fight. That is no way keeps me from criticizing Sherman for taking the focus off a team victory and putting it on himself, but at least I looked into the background.
There is another video of Sherman coming up to Tom Brady after a game and saying, “You angry, bro?” Do you know what is behind that? During the game, Brady came to Sherman and another cornerback and said, “Who are you guys?” That was mildly insulting. Brady was leading at the time and said to them to see him after the game when the Patriots had won. Well, Seattle came back to win the game and so Sherman went to see him after the game.
Good to read on that. I remember the day he annouced that Indy was letting him go. If memory is correct, he looked like he was crying or about to cry. That was when sometime after that, Denver took him in.
That may be, but that doesn’t mean the games blow.
Manning is a good guy who had a great deal of loyalty to Indianapolis. It was difficult to leave, but that was the team’s choice. They were poised to draft Luck as their future and Manning’s serious neck problem helped them make the decision.
You got it. Plus also during the time that Manning not play, he helped out the coaching staff.
With the winter that we had, while it has been mild during the day, the evening it will get chilly again. This could help Denver, but not Seattle.
I think the owner of the Seahawks is a big liberal.

(Russell) Wilson told a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter about how faith helped him deal with the death of his father, Harrison Wilson III in 2010, who had been suffering from diabetes and several strokes.
The date was June 9, the day after Russell Wilson was drafted by the (Major League Baseball team, the Colorado) Rockies. He went to share the news with his father.
"My grandmother and I went there and we started praying," Russell Wilson said. "He was non-responsive."
Undaunted, Russell Wilson told his father about being drafted by the Rockies. He eventually stepped out into the hallway, along with his grandmother and mother.
Mother and son stepped aside and started talking privately, for about 15 minutes.
Russell Wilson finished the story:
"We were just standing there and all of a sudden it clicked," he said. "The Holy Spirit was telling us to go in there. So we went in the room and - this is the crazy part.
"I walked in and I could see the (EKG) monitor. As soon as I walked in the door I said: 'Hey, Dad, I'm here.'
"As soon as I said that, the line went flat. That's how I knew the Lord is real. I knew my dad heard me and he could hear everything I was telling him about how I got drafted. He was waiting for something great to happen.
"That's how I knew he went in peace. He is here watching me right now."
The faith and football of Russell Wilson

For me generally it had always been the big four: faith, family, friends, and football. . . . as important as football is to me, it can never be higher than fourth. My faith has been number one since I was thirteen years old . . .
Some players get more vocal about it . . . and some point to Heaven after scoring a touchdown and praise God after games. I have no problem with that. Today’s Super Bowl will be a win-win situation for me.
Peyton is a man of vast ability, integrity and humility. He received the MVP award, which he clearly deserved.
Russell Wilson played his final college season for my alma mater and has displayed the competence, skills and integrity of a true champion. I’m just looking forward to a great football game.
If pressed, I have to admit, I would like to see Peyton prevail. Russell will have many more years to set records and win Super Bowls.

When the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks get together for Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday night, it’ll be only the second time in the past 20 years the top seeds have met for the title.
The last time was after the 2009 season when the New Orleans Saints took a 31-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV.
Sunday is the sixth time the NFL’s top scoring offense has faced the top scoring defense in the Super Bowl. In four of those five games, the defensive power has won.
Green Bay beat Kansas City in the first Super Bowl. Pittsburgh downed Dallas in 1979; San Francisco over Miami in 1985; and the New York Giants held down the aforementioned Bills in 1991.
In 1990, Montana, Jerry Rice, John Taylor and the high-knee running of Roger Craig blew out the Broncos, 55-10, in the most lopsided game in Super Bowl history.
MY COMMENT: Yes, history has been on the side of the defense, but no team has had an offense before as prolific as this year’s Broncos. I am for the Seahawks, but they have to play an absolutely flawless game to win. The Broncos can play a flawed game and still win. The Broncos are rightly favored and are likely to win it.
