'Kerry Never Meant to Threaten Israel,' State Department Claims
INN ^ | 2/2/14 | Tova Dvorin

Sometimes, even the US eats its words.

State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki took to Twitter Sunday to defend the remarks of US Secretary of State John Kerry, who threatened Israel with boycotts if peace talks fail.

"Today’s status quo absolutely, to a certainty, I promise you 100 percent, cannot be maintained. It’s not sustainable. It’s illusionary," Kerry stated on Saturday night at the Munich Security Conference. "You see for Israel there’s an increasing de-legitimization campaign that has been building up [. . .] there are talk of boycotts and other kinds of things. Are we all going to be better with all of that?"

Kerry's comments were widely perceived as threats by not only the media, but the Israeli government. Both Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu sharply criticized Kerry's comments.

"Attempts to impose a boycott on the State of Israel are immoral and unjust," Netanyahu stated, at the opening of his weekly cabinet meeting. "Moreover, they will not achieve their goal. First, they cause the Palestinians to adhere to their intransigent positions and thus push peace further away. Second, no pressure will cause me to concede the vital interests of the State of Israel, especially the security of Israel's citizens.

Of course not, words don't have meanings. And as Nachum correctly note, the simultaneous Swedish bank boycotts are a coincidence.

And kudus to sodastream, I'd be tempted to move the factory and throw the 500 to 700 alestinians working there out of work. Nothing to boycott, they can eat hope and change.

This is precisely true, that American Jews feel no affinity toward Israeli Jews!

I was somewhat stunned when a friend of mine (Jewish woman) told me that she once asked her mother about her thoughts regarding Jews in Israel.

Mom told her daughter that, "We are Americans first and what people in Israel decide to do or not, has nothing to do with us!"

So much for having any knowledge of their own scriptures and God's command regarding Israel.

It seems that most American Jews have no problem with being God's "chosen people," so long as it has nothing to do with they're being loyal to the land God gave them or informed about what God instructed them regarding the land nor their worship of Him.

I worked with a guy that was a Jew; his brother lived in Israel and he went often to visit. This guy was a proud, radical communist and was a very politically active Democrat. His parents immigrated here from Russia.
I never understood it.

“And, yet, Jews continue to support RATS at a 3 to 1 clip. I don’t get it.”

Yeah, and a lot of them are anti-Israel. I guess they’ve all forgotten the Holocaust. The real Jews are in Israel. Can you imagine Henry Waxman getting a political office in Israel? Or Dianne Fineswine? And don’t anyone come in with that crap about Fineswine not being Jewish because her mother wasn’t a Jew. That’s a distinction without a difference.

Yep. No sense at all. Once in a while, even a military strategist will admit that Israel’s military strategies, much studied and supposedly imitated, also make no sense. Jews are really like that; there are no rational explanations, which is one of the reasons Jewish conspiracies are so popular.

Horse droppings from old horse face.

EVERYTHING obama does either:

a) Weakens America
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Serves Islam
e) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
I have yet to have anyone raise a single substantive counter example in several years of posting this.

(Although AJFavish did point out that I missed "increases dependency on the government")

There are Israelis elected to office far to the left of Waxman and Feinstein. Heck, some of them are in Netanyahu’s government!

Thank you for that! It’s time the truth be told about the bulk of American Jews, because it isn’t fair to those who do adhere to their faith to have to bear the brunt of what others are doing in their name.

Yeah, and a lot of them are anti-Israel. I guess they’ve all forgotten the Holocaust.

Amazing. I guess if God saw fit to bind them in 400 years of captivity in Egypt for their rebellion, He will certainly see fit to bind them in decades of captivity in The DemocRAT Party.

It’s confusing on the surface as to why American Jews seem to be distant from their Israeli brothers/sisters and why so many seem to support communism.

There are some websites..I think even on Youtube, where you can find very shortened versions of Jewish history that really do help explain what we see today.

It’s all very sad, and understandable once you have the facts.

Maybe so, but I’ll bet you they are still loyal to Israel and her international interests.

Every Christian is first and foremost a Jew.

The sooner so-called “Christians” come to comprehend that, the better off we’ll be in this death struggle with the demonic forces of islam and the demoncrat party.

Interesting. American Jews feel no kinship towards Israeli Jews?

Liberalism is their true religion.
