Cruz is a conservative.
The news, The Dallas News, the Chicago Trib, NYT, WaPo, FOX News, Newsday, San Antonio Express, Imus, ABC, Stars and Stripes, everyone is going to hate him.
If they don’t he’s not our guy, mostly because they would go after him after any nomination.
Anyone thinking that because Texas is red for now, until the legalization of its tens of thou illegals, might be fooled into thinking that it’s news papers are likewise, conservative.

I think he is in an excellent position, see, “Scarecrow” with Sissy Spacek, a vastly underrated (and Texan) film.
Is there anyone who does not think that Ted Cruz is NOT actually running for President?
Obviously he can’t at this early date come out and say so but he is keeping his name in the public mind, he is taking clear stances on issues, he is differentiating himself from both the democrats and the more moderate republicans without coming across as uneducated or narrow minded.
He does not have the real or imagined skeletons in his closet that Gingrich has.
