Republican takeover of the U. S. Senate this November

Posted on 02/04/2014 1:23:11 PM PST by HalTa

There has been numerous articles on the possible Republican takeover of the Senate by concentrating Republican effort and resources on the six Democrat Senators that are up for reelection in Red States that Romney won in the 2012 election. This is all well and good but it would be a giant mistake to ignore the Blue State senatorial races. After all, there are NINETEEN Democrat senators up for reelection this year. There is no reason to believe these Democrats are any less vulnerable then their Red State cronies. This year is not a "normal" election. The Blue State voters who have had their Health Care destroyed by Obamacare, are going to be just as outraged by this abomination known as Obamacare. They may even have stronger feeling than us. Their Boy Wonder President has just double crossed them all and badly hurt them financially. This 2014 election is most critical for America. Our goal should be 100% effort to defeat ALL Democrat Senators Red State and Blue State. There are many relatively weak Senators up for reelction. in these Blue States. People like Al Franken, Minn., Jean Shaneen, New Hampshire, Alan Coons, Delaware. In addition Jay Rockefeller, W. Virginia is retiring {he sees the writing on the wall.} The Democrats have savaged the economy of West Virginia, with any effort at all this should be a Republican victory. The same goes for Michigan, Carl Levin is also "retiring". We have to go all out to put an end to Obama's destruction of America by taking away the Senate. Imagine senate leadership without the stomach churning presence of Harry Reed.

Rove and the RNC will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory once again.

Ain’t gonna happen.

Amnesty killed off that hope.

Yes, defeat the Dems and their allies (the Republican Party leadership)!

This was the certain expectation in 2012. But as long as rampant election fraud is allowed, I don’t believe it for the next election cycle.

“We have to go all out to put an end to Obama’s destruction of America by taking away the Senate.”

I agree, but.....

Never underestimate the stupidity of the voting majority
Never underestimate the power of Republicans snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
And never underestimate the power of RINO’s in a herd.

We have an uphill battle for sure.

I so, so hope so. It’s our only chance of salvaging the remains of the nation.

So let me get this straight. Boehner wants an immigration fix (read that freeze it in place broken) now. So what happens when the Senate goes Republican?

Do we get a repeat of the Bush years where they took a pass on rolling back decades of Liberal crap, or do we actually get some action on the things that are totally broken?

Color me completely up in the air on this. Oh hell, let’s face it, we could have the House and the Senate under our control, and move Left even faster than we do now.

A good crash and burn for the RNC in November might be just the ticket in 2016.

This most likely will not happen.

If McConnell loses in the primary he will probably back the Democrat. Any other RINO who loses will do the same and the RNC will not give a penny to any true conservative especially if they defeated an incumbent RINO or defeated the RINO-backed candidate.

Always a possibility.

The RNC seems to largely staffed by idiots and RINOS, but lets hope the American people are so fed up that they vote the DEMS out anyways.

Dunno ‘bout that. Don’t have much faith left in the Republican Party.
Saxby Chambliss (RINO, GA) is retiring this year; we will see who replaces him. Could be a Tea Partier. Could be a RINO.
Otherwise, I would be leaving the Senator line blank or voting losertarian.

I should also add that unless we get a veto proof House and Senate (completely impossible this year or in 2016) Obambi will just veto anything he does not like and the complicit Press will ensure it is all blamed on the Republicans.

The last time republicans had a majority in the senate they spent most of their working time passing more democrat socialist legislation.

Of course that was only when they could be bothered to pull their snouts out from the pig trough and stop stuffing their friends’ pockets with taxpayer money.

Then it will be up to us. It is anyway.
