"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Ted Cruz: “And anyone pushing that right now should go ahead and put a ‘Harry Reid for Majority Leader’ bumper sticker on their car.””

“I guarantee you President Obama and Harry Reid are dancing in their offices at the desire of the Washington beltway crowd to light themselves on fire.”

Great quote. Self-immolation by the Republican “leadership.”

Boehner at al will destroy the Republican party to advance the agenda. Every day that the Republicans allow this jacka** to be Speaker strengthens their complicity. A pox on them all.

Boehner can’t switch parties because he likes his cigarettes, and cuts his own lawn, putting needy gardeners out of work.

He’s never spoken out against it, just simply voted against it. He’s not passionate in opposing it as he is with Obamacare.

..........I agree that he is not “as passionate” on immigration as he is Obamacare. Maybe it is because he really wants the subject to go away until after the election.

Cruz is wishy-washy on immigration.

He's the rock of Gibraltar in comparison to Rand Paul with his own Amnesty Program.

He's head and shoulders above any other potential Presidential candidate as well.

He has stated unambiguously and emphatically that Illegal Aliens should never be give the vote.

other GOP Senators are backing off supporting any push on immigration from the House, realizing it is not a win-win issue in an election year in which they hope to improve their numbers in the senate
