Think about it. You are openly gay but have slim to none chances of winning a conservative district. But the contributions are going to be coming in from gay organizations and the DNC allowing you to use someone else's money to live high on the hog for the next 9 months. All you have to do is make some appearances. This could work again for him in 2016 or if he makes a strong showing they might give him a district he could win.
Then it is life on the gravy train.
