Does anyone know what the people in the neighborhood wanted?
I could see it going either way.

On the one hand if it was going to drive up property values, that could be a positive for the people in the neighborhood.

But on the otherhand, they’d have to move because of the higher taxes and it would break up the community.

Does anyone know what the people in the neighborhood wanted?

1) They wanted "affordable housing" built. 2) They wanted "low cost loans" to black-owned businesses in the area. 3) They wanted TJ to only hire blacks. Some other details. The neighborhood is only 25% black right now. The protesters don't actually live in the neighborhood. The people in the neighborhood want it. The contractor on-board to build it is black-owned.
