A Jacksonville homeowner thought she may have been robbed Sunday, but realized instead her home had been altered by a SWAT team.
Deborah Franz was told to leave her home by police during a standoff with her neighbor over the weekend. According to WTEV-TV, Franz overheard loud fighting next door, and then saw SWAT team members swarm the street.
The cop goes You all need to leave, you cant be in your house, Franz told the station.

I was the first one that came in the door and I stopped I froze because I realized somebody had messed with my TV, Franz said. Her television and her game console had been moved and unplugged, her blinds were open on several windows, and blankets she had covering some walls were thrown on the floor.
Ehhh, quit complaining lady. At least they didn’t drink up your beer.

Uhh..don’t we have an amendment or two in the constitution about stuff like this?
Lock the doors and get into the basement or other hidey-hole.
Have nothing to do with the Stasi.
Do not make contact with them under any circumstances.
This would make a nice Third Amendment test case.
Don’t you love how they even leave their mess behind? There was a similar case recently when they even went through the fridge, and if memory serves me right, they left it open.
Cops today have zero respect for anyone who isn’t a cop.
The thing is, each time they do something like this establishes precedent for the next time.
It’s Us against Them, and really, there aren’t that many of Them.
She was fortunate that she didn’t have a dog.
According to the story, the guy “SWAT” (standards must be lower these days) had surrounded got away!
This goes on and on with more and more abuses.
Want to stop it?
1) Mandate Civilian Review Boards.
2) Mandate residency requirement for all law enforcement - no more armies of occupation.
3) Replace all police chiefs with civilian directors of public safety who answer directly to the taxpayers and not the PBA and FOP.
4) End 20 and out. A life’s pension for a life of service.
5) Mandate a civilian presence in each and every damn police academy class to monitor what these cretins are taught there.
6) End use of paramilitary training, equipment and tactics for dealing with run of the mill criminals. If they need a military presence, call in people who KNOW what they are doing - the National Guard.
In Indiana you can legally shoot them.
There’s already one in the works from a case in Henderson, NV: local PD “requested” use of a home for surveillance of a neighbor and arrested the couple when they refused. Left the house a mess after eating the victim’s food.
Frankly, if that were to happen to me, I believe that I’d have a medical episode and drop to the floor. “I think you gave me a heart attack!” “I can’t breath!” “Call 911” “Don’t touch me! It hurts so bad!” “Call the Amberlamps!” and so on.
These Cops ain`t too smart coz they LIVE IN HOUSES, too.
The Indiana law wouldn’t really apply here. More to the point, they can legally shoot you regardless, and would. Not a smart idea to take on a SWAT team. probably a better idea to suffer from “emotional distress.”

even when involved in a shooting...at least claim you are under stress but ‘keep your wits about you’ long enough to say “If you are going to read me my rights, you can skip down to the part where you say ‘If you desire a lawyer, one will be provided etc etc’

In reality, I can only think of one thing that would stop things like this from happening...
That is an explicit threat that if you are on that jury, you found him guilty already.
Regardless of what you feel about a case, what you think about the facts of the case as a juror should drive your decision.
Just a thought. . .other may feel differently.
Does the Third Amendment apply to local law enforcement?
I think the Fourth Amendment has more applicability here.

but they love kickin in doors ! It’s fun! Some of them utilize martial arts side kicks , some learned forcible entry while in the Service and this is the only time they get to practice .
and amazingly most folks in the US never take the time to ‘harden their doors’ , so a simple quick ,well placed kick is all it takes . harden your doors folks . Add steel to the entire framework and back up the dead bolts with steel plate , set those hinge inside .
Oh , I forget they can always just bring along a breaching shotgun .
End of this month I am one of just a couple of civilian volunteers to audit a police academy class. The public relations division is asking if we can find others that want to audit other classes. . .they run adverts in the local paper, run spots on the radio. . .hardly anybody asks.
Oh, number 3 is a little odd to me. The police chiefs answer to the City Manager or Mayor. Adding a civilian “chief” would mean the guy would be answering to the same City Manager of Mayor.
Something must change.
Feh...get their names, find their homes. Visit them at night. Some of the founding fathers did such and many problems were solved.

I saw some steel doors when I was in Europe which a breaching shotgun would have a hard time with. Wood over steel with multiple bolts.

Such visits might not be the wisest of things, especially if they know they’re likely to get threats.
Based on that, such action leaves a lot of opportunity for it to backfire. One wrong move or misinterpretation, and it’d put you on the wrong side of the law(whether or not you were right to do so).
To each their own, but there’s doing it the tough way and there’s doing it the smart way.
And it will be sent to every cop school in the country to show that it was justified and acceptable.
Water impulse charges would make short work of that.
The 30+ million illegals and their extended families won't even bat an eye at this stuff either.

I just wonder how they’d really handle a real uprising like what apparently happened in Ukraine I think it was.
Look at how they reacted to just one man, Dorner. Thousands of cops pissing and crapping themselves over one man, and their individual odds of being the one that met him were lower than Lotto odds.
Nor is that the only example about police ‘courage’.
Cops left their courage behind, along with their ability to see others as real people. Now they are just machines who’s only concern that is greater than serving their pay master is avoiding any risk possible. Push comes to shove, they’ll climb in a hole and put their own children in front of them as shields.
I didn’t leave anyone with the idea that I have respect for cops, did I?
