Rep. Raul Labrador said House Speaker John Boehner should lose his leadership post if he pushes forward with immigration reform this year, CQ Roll Call reported.
“I think it should cost him his speakership,” Mr. Labrador, Idaho Republican, said in an interview with the Capitol Hill news organization.

Cantor will be sponsoring the GOP version of the Dream Act. Cantor has a strong candidate against him in the primary. Cantor needs to be defeated.
Is Boehner Speaker for life?
“Its the Atty. General that appoints Special Porsecutors.”
I think they meant to say Boehner needs to to appoint a select committee. That is what Boehner CAN DO, if he had any stones or integrity, which he doesn’t.
Raul Labrador is my congresscritter. I just sent him an attaboy and told him that immigration/amnesty is a losing issue. Out here in the country owebamacare is killing us and if immigration is passed it will bury the corpse. If the GOPe wants to win the Senate this year NO AMNESTY - FIGHT owebamacare!
The USA needs LEADERSHIP. There is none right now.
I want Boehner purged real bad. There is only one spoeakere !! and that is Trey Gowdy!!
Gowdy just went with Paul Ryan to talk to Sen Chuck Schumer to work on passing Illegal Alien Amnesty
Trey Gowdy is another Amnesty Liberal...no more Amnesty Liberals
Don't worry, Boo-Hoo-Boehner -- your friends are speeding to your rescue!
Interesting is that Raul Labrador was one of the original House Gang of 8 working on an Illegal Alien Amnesty bill....now he is calling for Boehner to be removed for trying to pass Illegal Alien Amnesty...
Its time for the GOP to dump Illegal Alien Amnesty and any Immigration nonsense immediately....its Amnesty Liberal and making the GOP look stupid
Just Secure the Borders and Deport all the Illegal Aliens. Stop the stupidity
Labrador is being consistent. He publically abandoned the House Gang of 8 when it became apparent that they were as intent on amnesty as the Senate's Gang of 8.
McCain has been receiving money/donations from George Soros for quite some time.
I second the motion
That should have happened LAST YEAR!!
Trey Gowdy has my vote - a mighty fine man
Don’t forget Ridiculous Ryan!
Same here! Gowdy for the WIN!
Thankyou, SC. If you are against amnesty, Trey Gowdy is not the man you want for Speaker.
Sad but true. People better remember how Lindsey Graham became Senator.
Ryan, Cantor, Boehner...all of the so-called "leadership" is as deceitful as can be. Ryan, for example, will forever be known as the guy who stabbed veterans in the back. Boehner is the guy who caves time after time. Cantor is the pro-amnesty guy from the east coast who doesn't have a clue.
The article suggests Boehner should lose his speakership if he pushes amnesty "this year."
How subtle these politicians are: they are saying they want it pushed next year AFTER the mid-term elections, and preferably in a lame duck session.
Boehner should be replaced immediately with only a consistent, anti-amnesty replacement. Don't give them the chance to open this to a House floor vote, ignoring the Hastert principle, during the lame duck session. The Speaker has the authority to ignore the principle of republican consensus before a floor vote. And even then, there are so many weasel republicans that an anti-amnesty speaker would have to keep in line.
We’ve seen this kind of a show before at the beginning of the session with noise from Bachmann and so on.
In the end only ten House heroes stood up to oppose Boehner’s leadership.
Republicans like Amash, Massie and Stockman had the cohones to oppose Boehner. Only if someone like them were elected Speaker would we have real change.
