The daughter of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. said Thursday that her brothers won't take King's Nobel Peace Prize and traveling Bible from her without a fight.
Bernice King alleges her brothers Dexter King and Martin Luther King III want to sell the objects, and she told reporters that she won't stand by to let it happen.
The slain civil rights icon's estate -- controlled by his sons -- filed a complaint in Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta last week to force Bernice King to turn over the items.
"Not on my watch," she said at Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church, where her father preached.

Bernice King and Martin Luther King III sued Dexter King in 2008, accusing him of converting "substantial funds from the estate's financial account at Bank of America" for his own use. They later agreed to a settlement and avoided a public trial.

Let me know when they go up on Ebay. I might want to bid. I’d raffle off a chance to use the medal for target practice if I could pick it up cheap enough. And I could probably sell a peace prize with a bullet hole in it for some good money.
You know, the brothers may have a point. The value of a Nobel Peace prize is likely to drop in the future on account of some its more recent recipients.
They learned by seeing their mother Corretta Scott King sell everything in sight, starting before her husbands funeral was finished.
Seems as though the MLK heirs have been leaching off of their father’s name and library since he was murdered. That they turn on each other should not be a surprise.

Hmmm...they just want to “give back to the community”...right?
King made a sham of their marriage and a fool out of her by his highly publicized screwing around...somewhat like John Kennedy in terms of volume. And all she ever did was smile and stand by her man. Well, after his death, it was her turn to do what was best for HER.
