As the Winter Games get underway in Sochi, Google Inc. is quietly but vibrantly adding its voice to the chorus of U.S. companies speaking out against Russia’s law that restricts gay-rights activities.

The California-based Internet search company transformed its home page into a show of support for gay rights Thursday with a Google Doodle depicting athletes against a rainbow-colored backdrop. …

Note they didn’t include a symbol for the one Olympic sport most dominated by gays, Men’s Figure Skating.

Maybe Google could show real support by refusing to do business with or in Russia?

Naw.

Go back 4 or 5 decades. Explain to someone that America’s most biggest goal for Russia is that they need to embrace homosexuality. And that America was run by a gay moslem Marxist pothead, who has high level members of his administration supporting Che and Mao. That there is a purge within the US Military against people who are Christians or who love the constitution.

And then explain to them that Russia is embracing Christianity. Nutty time we are in.

They’ll see their downfall one day, just like MySpace and other such web giants did. F Google and their agenda.

Stand strong, Russia. God is with you.

Overall, I’ve found Bing slightly less PC and generally political. Search results are just about identical.

Well said. Imagine if O’Reilly asked Obama if he was gay? Now that would have made it one interesting Super Bowl. Hope someone forces Hilary out of her closet.

a show of support for gay rights

No such thing as “gay” Homosexual rights. There are human rights which belong to each and every human. No one has a right to be a pervert. That is a choice. All choices have consequences.

>>Startpage.com is tracking free searching.

Haven’t tried that one, but there are many including DuckDuckGo. So far haven’t found any that give anywhere near as useful results as Google or Bing. Anyway, I use the donottrackme extension.

Yeah, I was thinking of Binging instead of Googling. But remember that Microsoft is the MS in MSNBC. Maybe I’ll take more bites of the Apple, which appears to be out of favor with the Obama minions.

Thanks, I’ll look into Startpage. Although first I read your post as, they’re tracking “free searching”, instead of tracking-free searching.

the games are really not about Russia's decisions regarding gays - the games are NOT the venue for gays to piggyback on.

This is for those athletes that have trained all their lives for this moment.

The gays have NO right to try to make it all about them.

This is a handful of loudmouths being very loud mouthed, domineering the actual homosexual scene.

Poll most actual homosexuals and you wouldn’t find support for this sort of junk... they wouldn’t care, all they want is to get laid weirdly and otherwise let the world go by.

I don’t get the slack many here cut Putin and Russia just because of their stance on homosexuality.

Putin is still a thug in a suit and Russia is still an autocratic kleptocracy. It’s like saying “Whats a little KGB assassination, journalistic repression, staggering corruption, and disappeared opposition if he shares my stance on homosexuality?”

You sell the Polonium Kid short.

I mean, how many thugs have access to 210Po to use on their enemies?

Or, as former SecDef Robert Gates said, 'I HAD LOOKED INTO PUTIN'S EYES AND I SAW A STONE-COLD KILLER'

But, unlike MySpace and Facebook and other such web giants, Google is actually useful. A few keystrokes, useful information. What's not to like?

One of my favorite stories is about the stolen super bowl ring. I can so imagine him slipping one on and saying “I could kill a man with one punch wearing this.”

People may have disputed details of the story but no one said it was out of character. Lol.

Google wants children to be exposed to homosexual propaganda.

The Russian law prohibits homosexual propaganda from being given to children, AND the law was passed UNANIMOUSLY by the Russian legislature, reflecting the apparent WILL OF THE RUSSIAN PEOPLE.

So it seems Google loves sodomy and hates the Russian people.
