After nearly 20 years of being in business, Engelbrecht, said during the hearing, and no agency coming to visit with us, the succession of agencies that have now come to us for all manner of things begs the question. Ms. Engelbrecht, Jordan said, in the first 20 years of business, did OSHA ever visit your place of business? No sir, she responded. Never once? No sir. After you filed the [tax-exempt application for King Street Patriots], OSHA visited then, right? Yes sir. In the first 20 years of business did the [Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives] ever come to your business? Jordan continued. No sir. And they came a couple times once you filed your application? Yes sir. And in your first 20 years of business, did the IRS ever audit you? No sir.

War has been declared by the administration on the American people. Big Time.
Bureaucracy is a force of government that can take away liberty just like an army.
The Dems get away with murder in these hearings. Jordan should have engaged that rampaging marxist stooge directly. Enough tip toeing around the issues. Americans were assaulted by the IRS and the Dems do not care at all.
Folks - I regret to say that these reports only serve to make me angry with Our Side. As this report shows - lots of hot air, nothing accomplished. Why don’t they follow the chain of command from the bottom up to the very top. “Did you do this? Who told you to do it? What is their name?”
This never seems to happen from the bottom to the top. If it ever happens at all, it never seems to get to the person who says “Yes it was my idea.” Everything is a charade designed to make us folks believe that the pols are ‘doing something’. /Rant off
Just read it.
Connolly should be mocked and ridiculed for trying to claim no connection between political activity and intense scrutiny by multiple departments of the fedgov.
I know it would be beneath Jay, but I would love someone to say, “Seriously, Connolly? Seriously? Are you THAT stupid sir? Or do you think we are?”
“Connolly concluded by muttering the word McCarthyism:”
Connolly proves yet again that the late Senator Joe McCarthy was absolutely correct and justified. Obama and the current edition of CP-USA (RAT Party) vindicate and validate Senator McCarthy, daily.
That is because the RINO leadership is in agreement with the examination and fly-specking of the Tea Party and related conservative organizations.
All it would take is for someone in leadership in the House to get this done, but those that could make it happen are not doing so.
I assume their silence is assent, the occasional verbal protest notwithstanding.
This story is amazing. Own a business for 20 years, and not a peep from a government agency the entire time. Then boom. You apply as a tea party group and you are suddenly visited by every agency under the sun, from the FBI to OSHA to IRS. Scary stuff.
no audits in 20 years , then suddenly 15 visits in 2 years from various Obama Stasi....pure coincidence.

It upsets me also. Boehner clearly intends to do nothing about the IRS issue. Camp and Issa have been totally useless. No direct engagement of Obama at all. Obama lied about the IRS scandal during the Super Bowl interview and Boehner did NOTHING.
I can only conclude that the GOP just don’t care that we were assaulted by our government.
“Americans were assaulted by the IRS and the Dems do not care at all.”
More to the point, the IRS has become the military arm of the RAT Party. The targeting of Patriotic Americans by the IRS is the order of the day.

Gerald Connolly is the former Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and a current Northern Virginia Congressman and he is a prime example of the disease that has been spreading in Virginia that turned Virginia Rat in the last election.
We don’t call ‘em RINOs for nothing!
The only silver lining to this otherwise dark black cloud is that once those they have put in power will consider these traitors that put them in power, traitors to their cause also. And dispose of them. Preferably in a slow and painful manner.
This should strike terror in the heart of all Americans. Everyone really needs to watch the C-Span video at the bottom. Connelly and the dimocrats are the sleaziest creatures on earth. What happened to this woman and her business shows the BLATANT TARGETING AND ABUSE OF POWER by the IRS and it’s obvious by the partisan questioning of the dimocrats that they are trying to cover up everything. This video needs to go viral as I am sure many Americans are not getting the true picture.

The oversight committee has interviewed many witnesses behind closed doors as well as several hearings. You are right about Boehner not saying anything - as well as the RNC, GOP, etc.

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) dismissed a Tea Party leaders concerns over supposedly being targeted by the Internal Revenue Service, prompting Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) to swoop in with a revealing set of questions.
Rep. Gerry Connolly mocks GOP as witch hunters of IRS
Rep. Gerald E. Connolly, Virginia Democrat, barely bothered to conceal his disdain for Republicans who wanted to uncover the truth about the targeting of conservative groups and individuals by the Internal Revenue Service when he smugly asked an agency witness giving Capitol Hill testimony Wednesday: Are you a witch?
The mocking went forth during a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee meeting. And verbatim, heres how it played out:
Mr. Connolly: Now lets get a few things out of the way here. Have you ever read The Crucible by Arthur Miller?
Ms. Ingram: Ive not read it; Ive seen it performed.
Mr. Connolly: And you know what its about.
Ms. Ingram: Yes, sir.
Mr. Connolly: What is it about?
Ms. Ingram: Well, Im from New England, so Im familiar with the original story. Its about the Salem witch trial.
Mr. Connolly: All right. So lets get you youre under oath. Have you been consorting with the devil?
Ms. Ingram: Not to my knowledge, sir.
Mr. Connolly: Are reports that you can fly accurate?
Ms. Ingram: Ah, greatly exaggerated, sir.
Mr. Connolly: Have you been involved in any way in trying to pervert our youth, in Salem or anywhere else?
Ms. Ingram: I certainly hope not, sir.
Mr. Connolly: Youre sure?
Ms. Ingram: Yes, sir.
A few seconds of silence ensued, while Mr. Connolly stroked his chin and appeared thoughtful.
Gerald Connolly attended the Islamic Spirit Convention on April 3rd, 2010. (fundraiser for islam?)
He supports the Dar Al Hijrah Islamic Institute in Annandale, VA.
(I don’t think he like Tea Party-types.)
Democrats banana republic will have hell to pay.
Arrogant little monkey- this Connolly.
