I love those foods too; so I guess that also makes me a racist.
Is “Four Fried Chickens and a Coke” on the menu?
Probably the best menu that school ever saw.
I was going to serve Spanish Rice.
Can you imagine them adding a BREAKFAST of both Aunt Jemima pancakes and Uncle Ben’s grits? They would have had to fly in Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to deal with the outcry.
Only in San Francisco would people get offended by a menu like that. Fried chicken, cornbread and watermelon = heaven.
Simple way to fix this. DON’T KOW TOW TO THE BLACKS! No matter what you do you will offend them so don’t even try to appease them.
Continue to serve the Mystery Meat meals as usual. When THEY whine, say that you DON’T want to offend them! They will still be offended by it.
If they cry “REICIS”, tell them to bring their own lunch if they don’t like what is served!
Fried Chicken was Sunday Dinner food that was eaten everywhere; from the big house on the hill to the shotgun cabins.
On my FB, every time somebody posts a “knockout game” article, FB throws up ‘recommended links” to black history month underneath the post.
Seriously.

This was a no-win situation. If they serve up the fried chicken, corn bread and watermelon, it’s racist, if they don’t serve up anything special, well that is racist too for “dissing” and not honoring black history month.
Time to tell these perpetually offended non-whites (they’re not minorities in California, whites are) to “shove-it”

WHO?? In California, Columbus Day has been eliminated, replaced by "Native American Day" or MLK Day or Cesar Chavez Day -- forgot which because so many traditional holidays are being either downgraded or outright replaced. Christmas Vacation = Winter Break Lincoln's, Washington's B'days = one day generic President's Day Easter Vacation = Spring Break Columbus Day = eliminated entirely Independence Day = 4th of July, nothing special ever happened that day just fireworks and picnics to celebrate summer. Thanksgiving Day = Native American grievance Day.
