Boehner Blames Trust Gap With Obama For Immigration Stalemate
ABC News ^ | 2/6/2014 | John Parkinson, Mary Bruce

“One of the biggest obstacles we face is the one of trust,” Boehner, R-Ohio, told reporters at a news conference Thursday. “There’s widespread doubt about whether this administration can be trusted to enforce our laws and it’s going to be difficult to move any immigration legislation until that changes.”

Illustrating that distrust, Boehner pointed to Obama’s unilateral moves to change the timeline for implementing the new health care law and the president’s widely publicized intent to circumvent Congress on several other issues through executive orders.

“I never underestimated the difficulty in moving forward this year [on immigration reform] and the reason I said that we need a step-by-step common-sense approach to this is that so we can build trust with the American people that we’re doing this the right way,” Boehner said. ”Now he’s running around the country telling everyone that he’s going to keep acting on his own, keeps talking about his phone and his pen. And he’s feeding more distrust about whether he’s committed to the rule of law.”

That Speaker Boehner is a very profound statement and one that illustrates we are in a Constitutional crisis of "revolutionary" proportions, IF you fail to take action to stop this President and his regime.

Traitor Boehner: “ - - - “I have made clear for 15 months the need for the Congress and the administration to work together on the issue of immigration reform. It needs to get done. I’m going to continue to talk to my members about how to move forward, but the president is going to have to do his part as well.”

Time to resign Boehner, time to resign.

Obama’s stated goal is to “Fundamentally change the United States of America.”

Boehner has proven that he is to stupid to understand, WAY to stupid!

And yet NOTHING IS DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, NOTHING. Words are cheap, do something, less whiling more doing.

“There’s widespread doubt about whether this administration can be trusted to enforce our laws”

BONERMAN has an intuitive grasp of the obvious.

And it only took five years of Obama Hell and $7 Trillion in Obama debt for him to catch on.

Maybe what clued him in is watching Obama spit on the US Constitution, break laws he doesn’t like and enforce laws he makes up.

This is EXACTLY the problem:

how do you negotiate with someone who wont keep their end of the deal?

Lets just assume for the sake of argument that the Republicans would be willing to grant amnesty to those already here IF Obama does __________________________.

Since there is no way to actually make Obama do ____________________ since he can just refuse after the fact to implement anything he agreed to, just as he is currently refusing to deport illegals now that were brought here as children.

No deal is possible under these circumstances, because no deal can COMPEL Obama to actually follow through.

Speaker Boehner must know that We The People don’t trust him any more than we trust Obama.

talk to Eric Gurr.."put your cards/your $$$$ on the table".

not some CoC bribe $$$$.

Boner heard from the TEA Party. The Administration said the “talk radio” types are directing Boner’s actions but we all know its the TEA Party, who’s getting no free advertising.

Hey, it’s as good of an excuse as any, and better than most, for blaming his defeat by conservative House members on this issue.

I like the ‘trust’ theme... it sings!

Hmmm... Senator Mark Warner says one thing but does another; he said “Let me make clear, I’m not going to support a health care reform plan that’s gonna take away health care that you’ve got right now or a health care plan that you like,” But Warner did support Obamacare and still does.... Mark Warner can’t be trusted!

I have come to believe that the whole immigration fight is cover for the Speaker to make the pronouncement that the President could not be trusted to enforce any new new law.

The President would certainly not enforce any stronger border enforcement
