(Reuters) - The United States on Friday issued a fresh travel alert for Americans attending the Sochi Winter Olympics, citing cybersecurity threats and warning them to have "no expectation of privacy" using Russian communications networks.

The U.S. State Department's alert - coming the same day that Turkish security forces in Istanbul seized a Ukrainian man accused of trying to hijack an airliner and redirect it to Sochi - updates one issued two weeks ago.

"U.S. travelers should be aware of cybersecurity threats and understand that they have no expectation of privacy when sharing sensitive or personal information utilizing Russian electronic communication networks," the department said.

The warning comes in the middle of a controversy in which U.S. officials blame Russia for the Internet leak of recordings of a senior State Department official and the U.S. ambassador discussing a possible future government for Ukraine.

The State Dept. must think the threat of cyber spying is going to scare Americans. The NSA is using drones in the USA, for crying out loud. In Hillary’s immoral words, “What difference does it make?” who is doing the spying.

So people need to be alert while in a nation that is headed by a man who wishes to control every aspect of your life, is willing to use the force of the state to crush you, who will persecute your co-religionists, who believes that you deserve punishment because of your skin color, who insists that everything including your children belongs to the central state, who has admitted to surveillance on an unprecedented scale and yet has the audacity to deny it is actually "spying"…

Well consider me warned. Another other country I would probably need to be careful in is headed by Vladimir Putin.

Wow! I must be the luckiest person in the world. I am getting the full Sochi Olympic experience right here in the old US of A and it didn’t cost me anything, except my freedom...
