Rand Paul, love or loathe the guy, is about as far from GOP-e as you can get.

Don't try to sell that bs here.

Rand Paul is on a fast track to taking a leadership position in the GOP-e. You'd know that if you were keeping up, and not shilling for the establishment.

“two out of three new Texas Hispanic voters were registering Republican. Rand should do some research before speaking.”

Or maybe you should do more research before posting.

Your facts are wrong. Period.

Texas is turning purple because of the influx of immigrants from Mexico. Perry is attracting all the parasites from Mexico by offering free stuff, in state tuition, etc.

This is not a racial thing. The problem is that all the free stuff is attracting the bottom feeders from Mexico. The conservative, productive Mexicans follow the immigration laws and stand in line for years. But the illegal, socialist bottom feeder outnumber them by the millions.

Rand Paul is right.

Rand is essentially saying that the Republican party doesn't welcome people of all races, which is the same dispicable lie the Democrats have been telling for my entire life. Thanks for carrying the enemy's water, Rand.

That's why his comments are an epic fail from every conceivable angle. This is the kind of dumbassedness we saw from the Missouri candidate who made the not-well-thought-out remarks on rape, pregnancy and abortion.

Who gives a damn, America is finished anyway. We are so close to becoming a communists run empire that there is nothing to stop it. Just a question of time. The Democratic party and those who support it believe that the only way to survive is to have the government control us.

What do you mean? It is the GOP-e that is under the idea that they don’t need to change. Rand Paul, love or loathe the guy, is about as far from GOP-e as you can get. Seriously, if he is GOP-e, then who, save for possible Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, would not also qualify as GOP-e?

Agree with him or not on this, Rand Paul is about as far from GOP-e as you can get.

“Conservative texans BEST be getting out the vote”

I worked in Texas elections for ten years and studied trends and I know for damn sure that Republican show up in a non-presidential year and Democrats numbers are low in off years. It's a matter of education - Republicans tend to know more about how politics works and they will show up to vote, period. Democrats are not that keen on politics, likely don't know who represents them but they do know who the president is so more vote in a presidential year. It happens the same way every single time.

As far as reaching others, the state party has opened Republican offices now, this year, in more Spanish speaking population areas in order to get the conservative message out to them. The Texas Republican Party is not stupid and are pouring money into this effort to open more offices.

An open Republican county office when there is no Democrat office, is a winner as we used this method to get our Republican message to our county and we turned that county from Democrat to Republican. Part of our effort was to have big signs directing people to our office right across from the courthouse.

My husband was the county chair and one time he made a big sign and put it on the front door saying something like, “Due to the large turnout for the election, Republicans will vote on Tuesday and Democrats will vote on Wednesday.” You see the election was on TUESDAY. Well, the woman Democrat chairman saw that sign and went stomping into the county clerk's office demanding to know why they had changed the date Democrats vote. One of our people was in the clerks office area at that time and called my husband to say the sign was causing hell at the courthouse. We all laughed our heads off and later he removed that sign. My husband was always saying, humorously, that he thought Democrats put a sign at graveyard with the date of early voting so those buried there could vote early. :o)

We need to welcome people of all classes — business class, working class.”

He needs to get out more. We've always been the party of the non-union entrepreneurial working class.

We've always been the color-blind party. All you have to do is love America, love freedom, love the constitution, love God, and you get a front row seat. No hyphens or sub-groups. Love what we love and you are us.

Maybe it should be required that GOP candidates have the Constitution tattooed upside down on their bellies so they can contemplate it.

Texas is turning purple because of the influx of immigrants from Mexico.

Conservatives have been fleeing Socialist blue states in a mass exodus that's been going on for over a decade. Just where do you think they're moving to?

Sure, red states like Texas are attracting their share of bottom feeders from Mexico and blue states, but they're also the end of the line for those who see the red states as the last bastions of liberty in America.

I saw an article last year that showed two out of three new Texas Hispanic voters were registering Republican. Rand should do some research before speaking.

According to a Gallup survey from last week, only 27% of Texas Hispanics lean Republican, which is above the slightly national average and a slight increase from 5 years ago. I agree with Paul, Republicans should try to win the Hispanic vote, but passing amnesty for Illegals is not the solution.(Which I don't think he's proposing) The GOP-e thinks (or at least pretends to) that playing the Democrats game of pandering to legal Hispanics by granting amnesty for illegal immigrants is the answer. I think it's ridiculous to think the issue that will sway the majority of Hispanic voters is amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Did that article tell you how that party registeration was occurring? Texas does
not register voters by political party.

http://www.newrepublic.com/article/114145/blue-texas-eight-charts-show-why-it-wont-happen

2036 is a long way away.

If Texas turns blue in 10 years the Democrats will win 35 states.

A Miami banker and Kentucky flip flop are telling Texans what to do.
