Caving in to pressure from above, obviously. I think we can start using the constitution as toilet paper now.

Just like in CA, the elected officials have veto power over a measure passed directly by the state voters.

Here’s the thing, its Hispanics in NV that keep Dems in power, and who saved Reid.

So much for them being so-cons.

I remember 3 years ago radio talk show host Jay Severin said that within 5 years gay marriage would effectively be the law of the land.

I thought he was way off.
He was by 2 years.

Failing to uphold the law....

State’s law on limiting marriage to one man and one woman is obscure and subject to interpretation....

THIS IS A COUP!

So we see how the liberals will win 50 state homosexual marriage. By saying that they won’t defend a law in court, the plaintiffs win automatically. It doesn’t matter that voters voted in these laws, or that state legislatures voted for these laws. In this brave new world we live in, liberals or those afraid of homosexual activists, simply say a law is not to be defended, and the law which offends the liberals goes away.

I am stunned at this turn of events.

So...a single elected bureaucrat can obviate the properly enacted law?

Oh, wait... I see.

Just taking a page from Zero’s playbook.

The governor and attorney general of Nevada are withdrawing their defense of the state’s ban on same-sex marriage, marking the third time since last summer that state law-enforcement officials have publicly disavowed laws limiting marriage to one man and one woman.

Perhaps, the governor and attorney general of Nevada need to take a remedial course in biology. Men and women are NOT interchangeable. Lawyers and lawyers in black robes cannot refute that men and women are different.

Nevada will do anything to bring in money-the biggest industry is probably gambling, prostitution is big business in Reno, Las Vegas is a city where anything goes-this is just another thing for Nevada to profit from-they will probably have the quickie divorce office right next to the wedding chapel, staffed with lawyers...

The fish rots from the head down. Obama has been allowed to forgo enforcement of any law he doesn’t like. Now governors can do the same. Who the hell is going to stop them?

There WiILL be a Judgement Day. The GOP is finished. America soon to follow.

i left a comment on the law sight connected to that article and it deleted it automatically

Ok when is the law going to realize this issue isnt about Gay Marriage it’s about special rights for some reason these folks feel they are more special than others which they are not they are humans no better no worse than any others no one deserves special rights cassatus the laws that have been written in the Constitution of these United States in fact i believe if they want to get married they should be allowed and a law requiring permission is not nor should be required but heres where the [special] comes to circumvent the law They want special rights to get everything afforded a normal marriage and these marriages are not normal they are being forced to be made normal on an otherwise powerless society all things like insurances and the like should have to be the individuals responsibility in same sex marriages forcing normal folks to require and serve same sex couples merely because they are the same sex is tantamount to forced labor you asked an opinion you have it !

I wasn’t mean either !
