Sean Hannity was among a group dining at Ruths Chris in Washington, D.C. following the State of the Union last month. The diners, which included Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson, CNNs Newt Gingrich, and Sen. Ted Cruz, racked up a $5,000 bill.
TMZ reported the Duck Dynasty star picked up the bill and gave the wait staff a 100% tip. But sources tell TVNewser, it was actually Hannity who paid the tab and added the $5,000 tip. Hannity knows from service industry work: during college he worked as a dishwasher, bartender and short order cook.
5,000 dollar tip? That’s more than Joe Biden gave to charity during his first term as VP.
Trickle down works
That $5,000 tip is also a lot more than the value of the used underwear that Bill Clinton donated to charity.
Ruth’s Chris is a bit pricey but, I’ll wager we are looking at a 2500 service bill and a 2500 tip, +/-
Hannity may have picked up several other tabs in the place, not just the one for his party...he’s just that kinda guy.
Would loved to have heard the dinner conversation amongst those four...
To paraphrase Firesign Theatre,”Just look at those nasty stains, sometimes I think he does it on purpose.”
A prominent liberal would have provided a tip too...
...He would have told them to vote democrat and become unemployed!
i wonder who else was with them... i am sure it was not just the four... i bet it was fun...
Way to go, Sean!!
Ill bet the laughter could be heard out the front door. What a fun group !
Sean would intentially be the perfect stand up for the comics
I wonder how many of the tip recipients vote Conservative or EVER WILL?
I did my stint in the service industry. The best tippers were usually active or former waiters, busboys, cooks, etc.
One of my best friends worked his way through college as a busboy and waiter. He taught me how and when to tip...and if possible use cash.
As these big tip gift stories grow, it is almost making rich people appear isolated from working people, outside of wait staff in nice restaurants.
There are a lot of working people that don’t serve the rich their meals.
>> if possible use cash <<
Very bad advice in today’s world, because it seems nowadays that when you pay the tab by credit card and pay the tip with cash, the waiter/waitress is likely to scribble some kind of ethnic slur on the tip line of the credit card slip and then use that “evidence” to sue you for a hate crime!
I just saw Willie Robertson and his wife Korie at the George Strait concert in Los Angeles this past Saturday!
“He would have told them to vote democrat and become unemployed! “
Reminds me of when the HRC was running and a panhandler asked for a hand-out and she sent an aide to give the guy a voter registration card.
Well done, Sean.
Conservatives are the most generous people alive..
Liberals are the biggest Phonies, Liars, Cheats and Thieves.
you just write CASH on the tip line.
Also that way if someone steals the cash off the table, they know u left a tip, and start grilling the busboy!!
I never thought about doing that, but that is a good idea. From now on that’s what I’m going to do. Thanks for the suggestion.

We try to hand the signed slip and the tip directly to the waiter. Sometimes have to wait, but we like eye contact and a thankyou at our favorite eateries.
Way to go Sean!
Sean hannity is a great guy, yeeees, a great American, sorry. But he is. I wish he were more respected for the good person he is, and the great fighter he is. Everyone who puts him down here has not done half of what Sean has for conservatism.
$5,000 is more than Biden has given to charities all total in his whole life.
Agreed 100%...good comment!
Hillary still hasn’t paid her bills from the 2008 Iowa Caucus, much less leave a tip. That’s only for the little people, not Queen Hillary.
Might be more than the Obama’s too
$500 - $750 for 4 people is more like it at Ruth Cris.
On occasion, when for some reason I leave a cash tip, I boldly write the words "CASH" on the tip line.
I've just learned to close my ears when he starts in on these tangents.
However, in my opinion, Sean has more political GUTS than the whole Fox evening lineup combined. He brings up issues that others, including a lot of conservative radio hosts, WON'T TOUCH WITH A TEN-FOOT POLE.
THIS is what's important to me.
He even flew south a while back to personally check out porous southern states' border spots where the illegals cross over so that he could report back to us with some authority.
And, just as an aside, Hannity has always impressed me with having a big heart and a compassionate wallet when it comes to working stiffs and the needy.
I just loved it a couple months ago when he took off on some slimy NY congressman guest, roaring at him over and over again, "you're a LIAR", "you're a LIAR", then abruptly closing down the segment on the creep. I got rid of 100 frustrations during those few minutes of watching that scene!
I hope Sean runs for senator some day....he even looks like one now, tall, nice-looking face, strong features, with just the right touch of grey in the sideburns and temples, LOL.
>> Everyone who puts [Sean] down here has not done half of what Sean has for conservatism. <<
Welcome to FR!
I thought that Rep. Gomert invited him the the SOS.
Why no mention of him at dinner???
The diners, which included Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson, CNNs Newt Gingrich, and Sen. Ted Cruz....
Mark Levin Louie Goemert And wives of some of these folks were also there, so it wasn’t just 4 people as some on here are implying.
Check the photo at the link.
There were nine people.
20 years ago we had dinner at Ruth’s Chris. 6 adults and 2 kids. Our bill tip and all was $1400. We were invited to dinner by my brother’s dad and wife who had tons of money but when the bill came it sat in the middle of the table until hubby picked it up and used our Amex to pay for it. That is why I remember it so well. lol
I agree with you. Sean “goes there” when some of the highest and mightiest don’t. Sean would have definitely been among the rag tag revolutionaries who got us freedom under Washington. Some of the others would not have left their feather beds. Sean’s a bulldog hockey player and I thank Gd he is on our side.
And, to all those who love echo chambers, yes men, and preaching to the choir, SEAN AFFECTS THE LOW INFO VOTERS. For the better. Who cares if the libs hate him?
