Lamar Alexander Plummeting in Poll
Red State ^ | 2/11/2014 | volunteerstate

RINO stumbling ?

New polling data released today shows Lamar Alexander losing ground in Volunteer state wide polling. Ken Buck, director of the MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro) poll , said that Alexander’s approval  level has dropped from 54% approval down to 43% among all voters.  The trend was worse among independent voters, plunging 22 points to a 36% approval , down from 58%. Republicans were 29% favoring Alexander in his primary against (largely unknown) state representative Joe Carr. Fourteen percent of Republicans favor “SOMEONE ELSE” and 8% favor Carr , a tea party favorite. Forty five percent were undecided. It appears that Carr, if he can gain the name recognition currently held by “Someone Else”, is within striking distance of a Rino King, Lamar Alexander.

“29% favoring Alexander”

That’s unprecedentedly bad. Carr can have this like shooting fish in a barrel if he actually wants it, but its going to take effort, and trying to get national conservative groups to see him as a viable challenger.

Lamar! needs to go. Come on, Tennessee. Ditch this fraud.

Lmar’s losing, Mitchy’s losing, but acting like them is the only way to win the Senate.

This can’t be the same Lamar Alexander who was always losing ground back in about 1985.

Think its time for the old guard to find an energetic young person to get behind. Both states have some good active people who are more than qualified

"Liberal blog for Politico had Lamar up by 40. Someone is lying."

That was supposedly an Alexander internal poll, FWIW. Rather suspect that on the same day that Politico is running a hit piece on McConnell's challenger, they are also publishing pro-Alexander polling. The GOP-e always talks with Politico when they want to trash Conservatives- I highly doubt it's a coincidence.

Thanks for the heads-up, don-o. I had not heard about this MTSU poll. I’m more and more encouraged.
