The Insiders: Obamacare creates new ways to prosecute American business

It’s been a bad week for Obamacare. Incredibly, the White House has had to grant yet another delay in the employer mandate. This time, employers with between 50 to 99 employees who don’t already offer health insurance to their employees have until 2016 to comply with the shifting Obamacare requirements. This latest delay represents another political calculation by the White House. They are counting on the fact that the criticism they will face now for bungling incompetence and disregarding their own law is less than the criticism they would receive for damaging American business closer to the elections.

And the fine print of the latest announcement from the Administration is worse than the terrible headlines. This rule includes a provision that says you have to have the right motives for having a certain number of employees to be in compliance with Obamacare. Bear with me, that’s right: You must certify to the IRS – under the threat of perjury – that the reasons for your employee head count have nothing to do with your opposition to or avoidance of Obamacare. This president doesn’t just selectively enforce the law as he sees fit; now he is actually inventing new crimes. It’s jaw-dropping that if you fall below 100 employees, the burden will be on you to prove that you meant no disrespect to Obamacare....

If you had health insurance through your employer there was no tax on the premium at least on my part. If you lost employer health insurance and have to buy through the exchange you pay with after tax dollars. Is that tax deductible?

If not then that is a huge tax that I haven't heard mentioned.

Besides prosecuting businesses, Hussein also wants to use the declarations as propaganda that CommieCare isn’t to blame when they lay off people or shorten their hours. He makes them sign things, then he waves it in front of the lapdog media to say “See, they said themselves that CommieCare isn’t the reason”.

It’s a scandal that he’s forcing businesses to allow themselves to be used as propaganda, but why should they get out of being forced to support this malignant egomaniac, when every other institution-the media, schoolchildren, football teams, etc- is either forced or willing or some of both, to do so?

If you rewrite War and Peace, a sentence here, a paragraph there, a page when necessary, and often an entire chapter. You do it over time sort of willy nilly. In the end is it the same book? Of course not. It is time to demand a re-vote in congress on this ridiculous law. Never mind Boehner would push through a rubber stamp in the house.

So now businesses must not use costs as a factor in business decisions. Brilliant. There is only one solution. Shutter your business now. Go Galt.

White House Delays Obamacare Employer Mandate; Forces Employers to get Permission from the IRS for Layoffs

Feb 12, 2014 Lennie Jarratt

President Obama has once again decided to change a law without Congress. This time he is delaying the employer Obamacare mandate until 2016 for companies with 50-99 employees. He also lowered the percentage of companies of 100 or more to have to offer 70% of it’s employees coverage instead of 95%.

If you remember back in October 2013 with the government “shutdown” the Republicans were trying to extend the mandate and Obama and the Democrats refused to negotiate on that point. Now we have Obama extended the mandates unilaterally.

One of the other provisions now is though employers must now justify any layoffs of reduction in hours to the IRS. Yes, the IRS is being directly inserted into the hiring/firing decisions of employers.

To be eligible for the additional delay, the Obama administration says an employer “may not reduce the size of its workforce or the overall hours of service of its employees” unless it can justify those reductions to the Internal Revenue Service.

The IRS is now truly a political weapon to be used at the will of the Obama administration. Obama is telling business owners you will do as I say regardless of you business needs.

I thought Keith Ellison and his Democrat pals were proud of Obamacare getting those people out of nasty “job lock” to pursue their hobbies.

Employers claiming Obamacare as the reason for layoff should be getting an award for increasing “freedom” as Chuck Schumer claimed on Sunday TV
