Pat Roberts dodges residency queries (Kansas Senate)

Sen. Pat Roberts is done entertaining questions about how much time he spends in his home state of Kansas.

The longtime GOP senator declined Tuesday morning to answer questions about a recent New York Times article that found Roberts is registered to vote at the home of two donors, rather than rental property he owns in Dodge City, Kan. He also owns a house in Alexandria, Va., a suburb of Washington.

After giving a speech about his legislation to reverse a proposed crackdown by the IRS on politically active nonprofit groups, Roberts was asked if he is concerned about the residency revelations. As he descended a staircase in the Senate designated for lawmakers’ use only, he replied “excuse me” and walked toward an exit from the Capitol.

Asked if he would discuss the topic at all, Roberts said “no” and continued outside.

Roberts’s office also declined to share with the Washington Examiner information about how much time the senator spends in Kansas. After initially playing ball with the publication, a spokeswoman for Roberts eventually concluded that “we’re not going to release numbers because we’re not sure that any number would be acceptable to some of these outside groups.”

They believe they are above the law. We are now a nation of the lawless and that will doom the Republic.

Senator Roberts has never had to answer to the public, the press, or anyone else. His father was the Chairman of the Republican National Committee and he has been handed every job that he ever got after arriving in Washington in 1967.

Kansas voters have always given him a pass, he’s never received less than 60% of the vote. He does listen to the big dogs of Agri Business, but that does little for the small farmer trying to eke out a living on 400 acres or so.

Roberts has been totally absorbed by the statist establishment in DC. Time for a change.

Support Dr. Milton Wolf to oust Pat Roberts in KS

If Pat Roberts had one honorable bone in his body, he would resign.
