The Senate Conservatives Fund, a national conservative group backing Sen. Mitch McConnells primary opponent, is going on offense against the incumbent with a new ad that charges hes a bully.
The web ad comes just a day after an outlet reported McConnells opponent, Matt Bevin, may have previously supported and praised the financial bailout that hes decried during his Senate run.
The report quickly caught fire in conservative circles and reportedly raised questions for some Kentucky Tea Party activists about Bevins candidacy, though Bevin maintains that he had no hand in writing the documents from his investment firm that spoke favorably of the program, even though he signed them.
But SCF has been out defending Bevin since the news report emerged, and this new ad is an indication its support of their candidate wont waver.
SCF is putting $100,000 behind the new video to run it online and to targeted conservative television audiences, and will blast it out to the groups one million members nationwide, according to SCF Executive Director Matt Hoskins.
The ad compares McConnell to former IRS director Lois Lerner, who resigned after reports revealed the IRS had inappropriately targeted both liberal and conservative advocacy groups for extra review.
Those developments have become a hot-button issue for conservatives, and McConnell just this week introduced new legislation to increase scrutiny of the IRS, in part a move to win him some applause from conservative circles.

Bevin was required by law to sign off on the figures in the report and that had nothing to do with the commentary.
If he hadnt signed on the numbers in the report he would have been in violation of sabrines oxley law.

Of course! McConnell and his media allies are trying to poison the conservative well. Not going to work!
Ouch...that ad is gonna hurt, it is like a flesh eating virus.
Good Bye Mitch the Dems will miss you greatly!
