Immigration and National Survival

When pondering our obsession with immigration, I'm reminded of how people in the ridiculous dystopian film Idiocracy were watering their crops with an energy drink called Brawndo. And even though the crops weren't growing, the suggestion to try water instead was met with the following conditioned response in the drink's defense: "It's got what plants crave! It's got electrolytes!" No one knew what electrolytes were. No one could explain why they were in Brawndo. It was all sloganeering.

And so it is with immigration. Why do we have immigration? "Because it's got what America craves! It's got people!" But why does the US, the world's third most populous country, need more people? "Because they're in immigration! It's got what America craves!"

The problem with a blanket advocacy of "immigration" is that, as with "ideology," it is a category, not a creed. If someone proclaimed, "We need ideology!" we should ask, will any do? Will liberalism, conservatism, libertarianism, Nazism, Marxism or socialism all serve equally well? Likewise, we should ask about immigration: would importing 10 million liberals, conservatives, libertarians, Nazis, Marxists or socialists all serve the US equally well? (Mind you, the majority of today's new immigrants are socialist minded.) Would importing 10 million Russian nationalists, Chinese nationalists, Iranian nationalists or Mexican nationalists be as wise as having 10 million more American nationalists? Hey, who needs discernment?

No one, apparently, when in the grip of a certain simplistic dogma of our time, "immigrationism." This is the belief that immigration is always good, always necessary and always above reproach - at least in Western nations. Nobody ever seems to ask why Japan has no immigration...

One has to wonder why so many European countries resisted German immigration in the 1940’s.

Thirty years from now, Obama's face will be added to Mount Rushmore.

While you and I correctly see our current President as a miserable disaster, the new, largely third-world population that will replace us, will see him as the first liberator President, the one who began the well-deserved destruction of the white-dominated racist/sexist/homophobic capitalist tyranny that was the former USA.

“Thirty years from now, Obama’s face will be added to Mount Rushmore.”

They would never put Obozo on Rushmore where he would have to share it with a bunch of racist white rednecks. They will give him his own mountain.

They won't know how to. Once they get rid of the Americans, the capabilities that made America will evaporate.

Mexican peasants are convinced that the soil here is "magical" and produces all the goodies. All they gotta do is come and take it.

Latter day Conquistadors in search of Cibola's Gold.

They don't understand that it's the people, the system, and the history of those people that led to everything.

So they can camp out in the high rises for awhile, but eventually....it all breaks down, decays and falls apart.

For them? Back to the thatched huts making tortillas.

Damn good essay. I’d like to hear the RINO response.

The RINO response is that millions of immigrants will clog the jails, creating prison jobs, clog the ER’s and schools, meaning we will raise taxes to build more and more welfare which will boost the economy.

+??

= Utopia

PS

” people who hide a visceral hatred of Western civilization inside a Trojan horse proclaiming the equality of all peoples”

That’s a great line that sums it all up.

When the White House and other pro-Amnesty politicians allow foreign squatters to live in their own homes, and be granted a pathway to family membership, so they can live their indefinitely and bring their own families too.

Until then, why should America?

For those who did not have time to read the entire essay, you missed the best paragraph:

“The real lesson to be learned from North America's second great migration (the first being the Paleoindians’ arrival approximately 20,000 years ago) is this: say what you will about the Indians, they fought the good fight. They didn't invite millions of unassimilable foreigners into their lands, give them special privileges, and then justify it all by saying that they were just here to do jobs Indians wouldn't do (like colonize Indians).”

Only if China loans us enough money to do the carving.

They can always fall back on selling cocaine to the African Americans.

There is a huge difference between civilization moving in on empty lands of stone age peoples, and the greatest civilization that has ever existed allowing itself to be erased forever, by simple immigration of people who can’t add to it or run it, or sustain it, and who can’t even care to.

The west and the United States just stopped, and is now fading away.

“The west and the United States just stopped, and is now fading away.”

Thirty years after the U.S, put a man on the moon, and twenty years after the Apple computer, a candidate for the Presidency told interviewer that he didn’t think that the United States should be considered any more “exceptional” to Americans than Bulgaria is to Bulgarians. The American voter has found this kind of drivel so inspiring that Obama was elected and then re-elected. It’s no wonder that zombie movies have become so popular.

Will they even be capable of constructing anything as fine as a good thatched hut? I rather doubt it.
