WASHINGTON, D.C. —U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement after voting against raising the debt ceiling.
“After five years of out-of-control White House spending, including a jobless, trillion-dollar stimulus, now is hardly the time to give the President carte blanche to continue his spending spree. I voted against raising the debt ceiling because we need sensible reforms to cut down on spending and restrain Washington going forward.”

Texas primary early voting starts FEB 18th. We only need to keep Cornyn from getting 50% +1 votes to force a runoff, then coalesce around his opponent. Texans get out their vote for your guy early to get the momentum going. When Cruz won I believe he only had 30% of primary voters and still beat the GOPers in the runoff.
I’m voting for Stockman. My wife isn’t sure, but I may be able to persuade her just not to vote for the incumbent weasel. If only Louie Gohmert, had entered the fray.

I am not up on the Texas primary challengers. I’m sure some our Texas
Freepers will step up to help. I know there is one called Stockman.
The RINO power structure allowed him to vote against it. Someone else took his place.

I’m voting for Stovall in the primary; but will vote for Stockman without reservation if he makes the runoff.

They sure are teaching us, if we don’t. They are teaching us a lot about Congressional maneuvers, which is only a good thing, for us. Not so much for them.
