During Wednesday’s White House press briefing, ABC News’ Chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl probed Press Sec. Jay Carney over the progress of President Barack Obama’s policy aimed at addressing the threat posed by the Syrian civil war. Karl pointedly asked Carney whether it was time to acknowledge that Obama’s Syria policy has been an “absolute failure.”
“Isn’t it time to acknowledge that, when it comes to easing the humanitarian crisis in Syria, that the president’s policy has been an absolute failure?” Karl asked. “I mean, you had the Director of National Intelligence tell Congress that the situation on the ground was an ‘apocalyptic disaster.’”
“Jon, we provide more humanitarian aid to the Syrian people than any other nation on earth,” Carney replied.
“What I’m talking about is in terms of ending the crisis within Syria,” Karl shot back.

What? ABC? Disaster? Whoa, somebody’s gonna get a talkin’ to.

Typical liberal mindset. Provide some humanitarian aid and that excuses the crisis you created in the first place.

Such a SHAME as the middle easterners are easy as pie to deal with: LEAVE THEM ALONE. THEY have been battling EACH OTHER since there WAS a middle east and Arabs. That is what they do.
They are ALL tribal and handle their affairs through tribal leaders and clans. Even in "civilized" Syria.
Oh well, I know things won't change in the middle east and I don't expect things to change here. Attitudes here are as hard, fast and unchangeable as they are over there.
In all seriousness, name one thing - one! - that Obama has done that has NOT been an absolute disaster.
Really, the only thing ever held up by Obama sycophants is his “signature issue” — Obamacare. Has that not been an utter disaster? Besides Obamacare, what has Obama done that is noteworthy in the past 6 years? What?
I cannot think of one thing Obama has done. Yeah, yeah, he piddles around the margins with this exec. order and that, and sticks his finger in Republican’s eyes whenever he can, but on matters of substance this petulant child has done jack squat.
Carney knows SQUAT about the middle east. Syria has been buddies with Russia for EONS. They get their riyals from MotherRussia.
Obunghole & McCain want to help al Queda so it’s a blessing that his policy is in shambles.
Obama has broken the Middle East. Where is that ‘Urkel-did I do that’ picture when you need it?
Actually, it’s a damned good thing he hasn’t succeeded, since as usual he wants to fight on the wrong side. He is still helping the terrorists, but not to the extent he wanted to.
More VAIN humanitarian aid... getting them to stop FIGHTING would help a LOT more.
It’s like he’s got this idee fixe about Muslims being the Good Guys, No Matter What They Do.
That is not going to have pretty results!
And about the idee fixe... I have a huge hunch that His Barackness worships those folks. They are one of his main identity anchors in an otherwise lost, free-floating world.
Yes, it IS possible to teach Muslims some degree of civilization. Turkey proved that in the past. But the faith can’t be allowed to build into its full fervor. (Ataturk didn’t believe in that.)
And if this is Christian Chauvinist... (as opposed to Calvinist) ... HEAVEN YEAH we need more of them, may their tribe increase greatly! Colonialism DID have its virtues, though missionaries with gospel and lotsa, lotsa guts are perhaps the only long lasting solution. I believe, on a biblical basis, that God matches up willing listeners with willing missionaries. It’s the missionaries that are the limiting factor in seeing a visible earthly gospel witness. It might not make a difference to ultimate salvation (e.g. death bed visions) but it will make a difference to what’s visible on earth.
Problem is, not only does he have a clue, he has a plan, and a loyalty, and an agenda: To advance the cause of Islamofascism wherever and whenever possible.
Look, when Carney starts admitting Dear Leaders failures, where will it end? Any admission of failure puts the Annointed One’s infallibility in question. Neither his minions nor the MSM will ever take that step.
Obama doesn't have CLUE ONE what Islam is about. He THINKS he does. He doesn't even know what "Islamofascism" is.
It's ALL about land; always has been; always will be. It is that simple.
I visited there (2011) and Israelis HIRE Palestinians to farm, wash dishes, clean toilets, etc., all the labor the Israelis don't care to do.
To KEEP workers working, employers have to treat their employees decently and pay them fair wages. The Israelis DO those things. And most Palestinians would prefer to work FOR WHOMEVER rather than starve or see their families starve. The system works because BOTH Israelis and Palestinians WANT it to.
What we read in our newspapers, with their OWN agenda, isn't the reality of what goes on there on a day-to-day basis.
Sure, there is resentment, but WHAT is new about that? That land has been FOUGHT over for THOUSANDS OF YEARS by all who have lived there and it will PROBABLY continue to be that way until God ends our world.
Obama and all those who backed him and voted for him are the problem, I think.
