Here we go. At first he denied saying it. Now he has backtracked and is saying his comment about interracial marriage was “misinterpreted.” His comment wasn’t gotten on tape so it’s a he-said they-said thing. He’s saying he said people on the right hate Thomas because his wife is white.

Long ago and far away, our schools were integrated by Federal decree. Seven years later, they were still protesting integration and burning buses in Boston so their children didn't have to go to school with those people.

I have spent a fair amount of time in the New England states amongst our liberal friends. I am always amazed at the general lack of black and brown people throughout this area, with a few exceptions in Baltimore and NYC of course. And yet we're the racists for opposing the racial policies that they are insisting on? Give me a break. New England liberals are some of the most unsegregated racist hypocritical crackers in America.

I am so glad to hear someone else say this. Spent a week in Buffalo while my husband went fishing or something with an uncle. Had a car, a GPS and explored every day as I had nothing else to do. I saw one black face - one. Saw some darker faces - in service jobs. It was the whitest place I have ever been. In the South, dark faces are everywhere, in every single place you go, part of every thing you do. I don’t want to ever hear another word about how racists the south is. Not ever.

Or how redneck we are. I don’t know what they call them up north, but they have more than their fair share of bigoted, ignorant, opinionated, loud-mouthed .....

I would guess you were pretty lucky. Buffalo has lost half its population in the last 50 Years.
The city was 46% non-Hispanic White, 39% Black in 2010.
