I think that Phil is the prototypical Senate candidate that our founding fathers envisioned at the birth of our country.

I have a mental picture of him calling the House to order with a duck call.

I beg to differ. Robertson is probably the prototypical House of Representative candidate that the founders envisioned.
Under the original Constitution, before the 17th amendment senators were elected by state legislatures. That is not a method that encourages Citizen lawmakers, but seasoned politicians. Seasoned politicians that represented the various states, not as Super Representatives as we have today.
