The head of the states beleaguered health insurance marketplace, which was once a national model, broke down in tears Thursday, as she described how demoralizing it has been for her staff to struggle with a broken website that has left an unknown number of people without coverage.

But Obama’s so smart, how could this happen?
All by design.
Those evil republicans made a woman CRY!
Oh, the Hugh manatee!
What difference, at this point, does it make???
It takes 2-4 YEARS to get a disability decision back from Veteran’s Affairs.
Whose War on Women now? Embrace The Suck your dear leader presented you.
Her tears are delicious.
Although I am not at all optimistic about our country’s future, there is a slight — very slight — possibility that a whole lot of people will wake up and say, “Hey! Our government screws up everything they touch! It’s one train wreck after another with these guys! What we need is LESS government. A lot less. Like, maybe, about as much as the Constitution says, and no more.”
Was Romneycare in Mass completely dropped for the Fed system? I’ve been wondering about that.
“When SHE broke down in tears”
Oh for Christ’s sake. Where’s the Duke when we need him.
I know non-vets who have gotten SSDI in less than 1 yr.
Segued directly from Unemployment to Disability.
The comments on the Boston paper were pretty merciless. But I’ve been on projects that were doomed from the start. I usually recognize them within a few minutes.
In this case the requirements constantly changed, there was never an opportunity to test the system and they were at the mercy of the folks in Canada running the show off the cliff.
Jean Yang's finding out what's 'in it'...
One of the reason's the IRS is going after Dr. Ben Carson is to put fear into other doctor's who might be tempted speak out against Obamacare...
I don't know this person. She may be very nice for all I know. But I cannot stomach these people doing this. Damned liberals. All their damned "good intentions" and idealism are going to destroy us.
Most all of the able-bodied people at my last apartment building, most decades younger than us, were on full disability. For extra points, guess their ethnicity.
I’m in tears too...due to lasughter.
This was at a tea party demonstration I went to at Boston Harbor, of all places.
Not a huge number of us, but...some.
Really? I just applied. I have diabetes and neuropathy and found out I was exposed to agent orange. Doubt if I’ll get it but I sure didn’t know I might not live long enough to find out.
That does it. We NEED single payer!
The quickest I’ve seen is a year and that was during the Bush 43 administration. Supposedly, they move agent orange cases to the head of the line, but that may still mean quite a wait. My last one was about two years.
Bingo. I doubt this lady knows how she and her people have been rolled by the system.
Does this sound familiar?
- no one reads or studies basic doctrine that under-gird fundamental processes
- "the good idea fairy" runs rampant, bringing forth unsound changes and more confusion
- assumptions started from a distorted worldview (non Judeo-Christian)
- project came from someone owing their position from their high heels and lipstick
The health care industry and the U.S. Intelligence Community have a lot in common.
She would love to sell more overpriced, under performing insurance policies to people who feel screwed into getting them. I bet she pulled a straight Democrat ticket, thinking insurance companies would be swimming in profits by now.
Or flip to the other side of the coin like they did with education. What we have now isn’t working so we’re obviously not spending enough money so let’s give more money to the Department of Education to give to the teacher’s union. That will fix everything for sure! /s/
Taxichussetts is s deeply collectivist/Democratic state.
They both worked hard for this and voted for it.
May the citizens of Taxichussetts suffer all the miseries Obamacare will inflict.
Stupid should hurt.
“Her tears are delicious.”
Her tears are moist and warm
with a dredging hint of salty pain
Her tears are useful human interactions
She parleys their fluidity into gain
Her tears are delicious
If only I was immune to their spell
my mouth is drawn to their pathfall
Her tears sear hot white lies through my soul
Nourishment is not in the cards
Her tears are delicious
as only poison can be
We are being asked for sympathy for the devil?
Major Payne will tell her where to look for that...
Another victim in the War on Women!
I wonder just how many of these supposedly educated idiots who “thought this was a good idea” are still pretending they didn't know the true purpose of the ACA.
But I really don't care.
They can cry in prison for their stupidity or die still fighting to try to enforce it.
Either way, they deserve what is coming.
It’s OK...just as long as she cares.
oh what a tangled web we weave. When we offer up a complex health insurance system to thousands of government bureaucrats.
slim pickins. they will get it right and are sure to keep it lean and mean. Well the mean part of it anyway. Lean, not so much.
I hope all LIBs/DIMs choke on it. CHOKE!
Put some ice on it.....
It's amazing that everyone, from the Supreme Court to the IRS criminals targeting political enemies, seem to have forgotten the phrase, which, if memory serves me right, cannot be repealed...
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Will never happen. The person shedding tears IS government.
Liberals and government are joined at the hip. To say that less government is needed is the same as saying these people must cease to exist which makes you a Nazi death camp worshipper. And if you are supportive to Tea Party philosophy, then you are also a terrorist.
The reason this person is weeping is because not enough money was dedicated to the website and also there is republican obstructionism. Understand?
Seriously, short of a magic potion that causes liberals to rectify their warped thinking, the way to reduce government is to grow the private and charitable sectors so that clients of government such as this state program will transition to better options. And the way to grow these sectors is by passing the FairTax code of taxation and repealing the 16 Amendment; seriously.
