Ted Cruz: 'Hell Will Freeze Over' Before Establishment GOP Listens To American people
Breitbart ^ | 13 Feb 2014 | Matthew Boyle

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) told conservative radio host Mark Levin on Thursday evening that establishment GOP politicians will “never” listen to the American people.

“If we wait on the entrenched politicians in Washington, hell will freeze over before that happens,” Cruz answered when Levin asked whether Republicans will ever listen. “This is nothing new. The answers come from America, from millions of people standing up and holding elected officials accountable.”

Cruz, who coined the Twitter hashtag #MakeDCListen during the government shutdown episode, has often returned to a theme of forcing Washington D.C. insiders to listen to the public.

He noted that in the prelude to the shutdown, many Republicans preferred to push for spending cuts with the debt ceiling as leverage.

“A few months ago, when we were fighting trying to stop the disaster that is Obamacare, where a lot of Washington gray beards said, ‘we are going to fight on the debt ceiling. That’s where the fight will be,’” Cruz said. “It’s like they think the American people are a bunch of rubes, we don’t remember what they say.”

Wednesday, Cruz forced a procedural roll call requiring a 60-vote majority on the "clean" debt ceiling bill, despite Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's forceful urging he allow the legislation to go through with only a bare-majority vote. Cruz said Republicans should have united against the cloture motion, preventing the debt ceiling from being raised.

“If 41 Republicans had stood together and just voted no, the clean debt ceiling, the blank check for President Obama and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi want would have been denied,” Cruz said. “And for all of them who say I am just a crazy rebel, the last 55 times the debt ceiling has been increased, Congress has attached meaningful conditions to it 28 of those times. It's the

Well. It certainly does seem that way. How a Boehner or a McConnell or a Lindsey or a McCain can sleep comfortably sleep at night is a downright mystery to me.

Cruz said. “It’s like they think the American people are a bunch of rubes, we don’t remember what they say.”

The arrogance of the GOPe knows no bounds.

I know, right? We just got another snow. We’ve had two or three days above freezing here in Dayton since December (I think).

As Americans, WE are used to patiently, and silently waiting for solutions to problems to come from the top down.

This lazy attitude has been the basis for most Corporate and Political Management structures in America for most of OUR History.

WE now have the ultimate in lazy, top-down, political structure: a rouge dictator whom WE allow to be above OUR Constitutional Law.

WE will continue to have the current Obama Dictatorship as long as the Chief Impeachment Official, ( CIO ), the Speaker of the House, is allowed by US to permit Obama to continue as a OUR Dictator.

In all of Obama’s public statements, he has told the truth to US only twice:
1.) “We are only five days away from fundamentally changing the United States of America.”

and

2.) “I have a pen and a telephone, and I will use them to issue Executive Orders whenever Congress fails to act.”

Obama has thus defined himself to be OUR Dictator, and formally gave US fair warning of his intentions to do so.

For reasons that border on High Treason to the United States of America, Boehner as Speaker of the House, has failed his Constitutional Duty to begin Impeachment Proceedings on B. Hussein Obama.

The Members of the US House of Representatives have refused to force Boehner to resign; then to elect a Speaker with the required Sense of Honor to do his/her Constitutional Duty to begin Formal Impeachment Proceedings on B. Hussein Obama.

If WE, the taxpayers, do not force the Members of the US House of Representatives to replace Boehner as Speaker with a new Speaker that will issue the necessary Articles of Impeachment on B. Hussein Obama, then WE, the lazy, silent majority taxpayers, deserve to continue to have OUR Liberties crushed by Dictator Obama.

The future of OUR Republic is, as always, in OUR hands.

DONT TREAD ON ME

Certainly ALL good and salient points, IMO.

However, as a natural sovereign American, I cannot help but to recall that cartoon I once saw in a Playboy magazine of two vultures resting on a hot desert branch with the caption, “Dead, Alive, I don’t give a sh!t. I don’t care, I’m gonna kills something soon.”

My attitude is one of finality. Scorched earth, burn it all down finality if something doesn’t break on the side of decency and honesty real damned soon.

I’m in no mood for equivocating “show voters” or panderers. McConnell and Boehners are in my opinion perhaps the two worst traitors of our era. I pray nightly their constituents correct their errors and send them to the ranks of the chronically unemployed.

Ha! I just had a call today from a representative from the RNC. The poor, hapless man was asking for donations. I let him know that it was nothing personal against him, but I was not giving one red cent to the RNC to support establishment GOP like McConnel and Boehner, who have managed to treat people like me as the enemy scourge that needs to be removed from the Republican party.

He said I wasn’t the first person who has said that to him today. Lol!

What I find so amazing is that Cruz speaks the truth and is hated by not only the left, but the repiblicant weasels as well. The people that are supposed to be conservative and common sense.

Ted Cruz: 'Hell Will Freeze Over' Before Establishment GOP Listens To American people.

Then 'Hell Will Freeze Over' before the Republicans win another national election. I constantly get RNC and Republican solicitation for contributions, and I constantly throw them in the garbage unopened...and I'll bet there are millions of voters out there who do exactly the same and will continue to do so as long as these old-line turds stay asleep!!

I object to the headline. It implies that there exists “an American people” out there that overwhelmingly supports Cruz.

The problem is that just ain’t so. The actual American people are severely divided on these issues, and it is by no means obvious that the Cruz supporters are even in a majority, much less enough of one to call them “the American people.”

Now I happen to think this is a sad state of affairs, that those who support Obama and his ilk are either malevolent or sadly mistaken. But they’re still just as much Americans as I am (or Cruz is) and part of the divided American people.

What I find even MORE AMAZING is that any of them listen to ANY of us!

I watched Ted Cruz during his valiant effort to halt the disaster called Obamacare. I hope you watched it as well. If he used it once, he used the phrase “...we no longer listen to the people, our constituents...” over a hundred times. And he was right...they don’t. And the fact is, THEY NO LONGER NEED TO.

I’ve sent my little rant on this topic before but Ted’s honest comment compels me to do so again.
*************

WHY THE POLITICAL RULING CLASS NO LONGER LISTENS TO US!
“When the servants of the people are paid with something other than that which the people themselves have produced (i.e. the real, tangible products of their labors or some fixed and real medium of that exchange), the roles of master and servant will be reversed.”

That was Thomas Jefferson warning that the financial disaster we now face would be but one of many problems paper money would visit upon us if we allowed our “leaders” to remove the backing from the currency.

It was believed by Roger Sherman and a majority of those at the Constitutional Convention that unbacked fiat currency would so damage the fabric of the nation that they ATTEMPTED to prohibit it with these few words at Article 1, Section 10, requiring the states to enforce the prohibition: “No State shall…make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts;”

If the people and their states grew inattentive to this matter (and they have!), Jefferson also saw another problem ahead.

In a letter to John Taylor in 1816, he wrote, “And I sincerely believe, with you, that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale.”

We have been “…swindling futurity…” for a long time and this is now where we find ourselves. If the government, through its banker masters at the Federal Reserve, can create “money” from thin air, they certainly don’t need ours every April 15th. That annual sheep shearing is simply an attempt to vacuum enough of the excess paper from the system to keep the rest of us from catching on to the biggest theft ring in the history of man. They have now created so much that their attempt is failing and failing badly to a point where all but the dullest among us (Obama voters and his growing cadres of personal and corporate welfare beneficiaries) are starting to “get it.”

If you understood that last paragraph, you can now make the small leap to an understanding as to why the “progressive” utopian welfare state hacks in Washington don’t give a damn WHAT you think. Their power to create all the “money” they need to fuel their infernal machine and fill the gaping maws of enough of those growing hoards of welfare constituents to assure their perpetual re-election means that — ready — THEY NO LONGER NEED YOU! They have become, as Mr. Jefferson predicted, our MASTERS.

We won’t have even a CHANCE at an honest government until we again have HONEST MONEY.

That they are taking down a nation and a system that has provided more wealth, safety and abundance to more people than any other in history matters not to them. Failing to grasp the lesson of the French Revolution, they believe themselves to be above the impending disaster.

We’re running out of time to get this increasingly rapacious beast back into the cage from which we have carelessly allowed it to escape.

Dick Bachert

PS: I was a 3 year member of the national board of CATS (Citizens for an Alternative Tax System), the precursor to the current Fair Tax organization. I fully support the concept of a CONSUMPTION TAX over the current Marxist INCOME TAX. That said, UNTIL WE GET BACK TO HONEST “MONEY”, WERE REARRANGING DECK CHAIRS ON A SINKING SHIP.
