WASHINGTON The Air Force is disappointed in the airman who appeared in a photo that is being circulated of her posing with her tongue in the mouth of the prisoner of war depicted on the iconic black-and-white POW/MIA emblem.
We do not yet have all details behind the photo, but it certainly is a concern; its a concern any time someone shows disrespect for prisoners of war and those missing in action. They deserve our utmost respect and we must always remember their sacrifice and the legacy theyve left for us as men and women serving our nation.

Hope she wasn't thinking of making a career out the military...
That’s today’s youth, I guess. They have no memory of the past and little love for America.
Surprised they aren’t investigating the racist character in the guard tower on the flag...
ghetto trash
I put this in the “who cares” category. Stupid to pose like that and post it or send it around.....but really..of all the injustices in this world today this is a big nuttin
Considering all the crazy crap we pulled back in the day, I’m glad we didn’t have the internet back then ... there would not be any military today. We all would have been discharged. LOL!
If she was a civilian who cares sure.
She is not and I hope she will be dealt with harshly.
She isn’t just an Airman. She is a SENIOR AIRMAN. Therefore, no excuse.
very poor judgement indeed, perhaps she’ll be put in a position where her judgement is no longer required....
“Thats todays youth, I guess.”
Nonsense. That picture doesn’t represent anything but her.
She’s a SSgt now.
Well, I can honestly say that this blue rope got the attention of the CMSAF in a bad way.
Say goodbye to any association to the military honey, you’ve earned it.
And the photographer...
Hey, in Obambi's military, she could demonstrate in uniform while kissing another woman and do it in front of the pentagon, so what's the big deal?
Active Duty ping.
She will be out in September. Security Forces AFSC is getting cut hard in this round of force shaping.
Hope she gets busted down to the ground, E1
Holder’s People hate America.
from the article:
“....the airman in the photo is Staff Sgt. Cherish Byers. She is with the 92nd Security Forces Squadron stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. Byers was a senior airman when the photo was taken....”
I think it is appropriate to put her name out there. Let’s not her hide behind “she.” Don’t want to shake her hand & thank her for her service.
