Music bumps for all the songs in the Canteen.
Music bump.
The Last Waltz - The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.
Nice tune. Thanks.
About: “Eb” being a Piano Key rather than a guitar key...
How right you are!
Looks like I got on the ping list just in time ...these songs are all part of my listening history! :-)
Good morning/afternoon everyone!
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
I’ve been listening to a lot of Matt Abts/ Govt Mule lately!
Hello, Crazy Woman and Dudess! I’m sorry for the slow response. Yes, a lady friend of mine who is a jeweless replaced the battery for me last Saturday. The time as I type this is approximately 11:00 CST and 12:00 DST.....I think!
Last week had not been one of our better weeks in this household:
Apparently, on Wednesday I came into contact with someone who had a cold/flu.
Wait! I am just getting started. ;-)
Also on Wednesday we found out that the older stepson fell down a flight of stairs at his apartment complex. He fractured his right tibia in three places just above the “ball-joint” at the ankle. His left ankle is severely sprained and his right knee is torn up and severely swollen. His hands are swollen to twice their normal size and badly bruised because he used his hands to break the fall.
Please keep in mind that this is the same stepson who has already had a sextuple heart-bypass operation. He has high blood pressure, diabetes, his kidneys have failed and he requires daily dialysis. He has neuropathy as a result of the diabetes. The neuropathy is what caused his fall.
Thursday we had to drive to Austin so that Mrs. Spel could be with her son. I immediately returned to Houston that afternoon because I refuse to enter hospitals unless absolutely necessary. Every disease, virus, bacteria and various and sundry and other death-inducing wonders are in hospitals!
Friday the cold hit me like a ton-of-bricks. I am the type that when I get sick the whole world has to stop and wait for me to catch up! I had already compiled Friday night’s music so that I posted it, knowing that I would not be able to post Saturday afternoon’s and night’s music and not feeling motivated to post replies. I immediately went to bed. ;-)
Saturday morning, feeling like death-warmed-over because of the cold/flu, I had to drive to Austin to retrieve Mrs. Spel and immediately return home because she had an online teacher’s meeting. The only reprieve was that we stopped in Columbus to eat dinner at Schobel’s. Saturday night I was in a zombie-like state, barking at the moon, growling at the TV, trying to bite anyone who came near me, etc.
Sunday I got out of bed, went to the recliner and stayed there until it was time to go to sleep. That is unusual for me. When I have nothing to do I look around for something to do.
Naturally, I can completely understand that Mrs. Spel is concerned for her son’s well-being.
Why can’t SHE understand that her concern for her son is KILLING ME!? LOL
Anyway, I am almost back to normal today, however, I think that we have to repeat the same performance this coming weekend.....if I am still alive! ;-)
That is my story and I am stickin’ to it! ;-)
Dude
That is quite an epic!
(((Hugs)))
