Last night on Fox News' Hannity, Republican Senator Tim Scott responded to North Carolina NAACP Leader William Barber after he doubled down on comments he made calling Scott a "dummy." Fox News Contributor, radio host and tea party leader David Webb traveled to North Carolina over the weekend to confront Barber, who refused to apologize. In addition, supporters of Barber laughed out loud at the idea Barber's comments were inappropriate. National leaders at the NAACP have refused to comment, despite Scott being the first African-American Senator since Reconstruction.

Scott being the first African-American Senator since Reconstruction. Let me guess. THAT Senator was a DemocRAT.

You would be wrong. Firstly, Tim Scott IS the first black NC Senator. Second, all blacks elected to congress during 'reconstruction' were Republicans. All of them. That is why the Demon Rats like to use the phrase, 'The first black elected to X, since Reconstruction.

He was the first black senator from NC. The first blacks elected were Republicans. Demon Rats like to use the phrase, “Since Reconstruction”, so their token blacks can get credit for being the first black, when Republicans had blacks elected 100 years earlier. “Since Reconstruction” basically means: “the first time a Demon Rat black got elected to this office.”

...despite Scott being the first African-American Senator since Reconstruction.

Senator Edward Brooke, R-Mass,January 3, 1967 – January 3, 1979

Also, Carol Mostly Brown and one Barrack Hussein Obama. All elected AFTER reconstruction and BEFORE Scott.

‘I thought Mass. had a Senator of color ‘

Well, there was John Kerry.

He may have been black before he was white.

I do believe that he was a Vietnam war hero...

This is the kind of stuff the Republican Party should be doing instead of trying to get RATs to apologize or express some form of shame. It'll never happen.

We (that is, they) should use these opportunities to educate, enlighten and inform.

But, then, we ARE talking about the Republican Party. Not exactly known for their ability to fight. Unless it's with a fellow 'Puke or a Tea Partier.

From the viewpoint of the naacp, If you are not the property of the White Liberals, whatever you accomplish in life , if you happen to be Black, don’t count. It all has to do with being wholly owned by the white Liberal, as they are. Lock, stock, and barrel.

I guess they mean the first black senator from the south.

FACTUALLY wrong. Who writes these things? Children? 20 somethings with no knowledge of history in the last 50 years? Excuse me, but EDWARD BROOKE(REPUBLICAN) of Massachusetts was BLACK and served in the US Senate. For 2 terms - in the 60s and 70s.

Dunno about Babs WaWa - but I expect you’re thinking of Edward Brooke, 2 time senator — R — from Massachusetts who served in the 60s and 70s. Eventually lost re-election to Tsongas.

Scott's national profile is remarkably low - thanks to the MSM blackout of his existence, I doubt one in a hundred people west of the Mississippi even know he exists.

He can fix that, but he'll need to emulate Ted Cruz.
