The federal government on Friday obtained a fatwa (religious decree) declaring the Constitution of Pakistan completely in accordance with Islam from one of the countrys most prominent clerics, preempting any demand for the enforcement of Sharia the Taliban may voice during peace talks.
Our Constitution is a complete document. The presence of 22 clauses proposed by the then leading religious scholars in the 1973 Constitution make it a perfect Islamic document, observed Rafi Usmani, President of Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi.
In the three-page document which contained his recommendations, Usmani, who claims to be Pakistans grand mufti, condemned any move to create doubts regarding the Constitution. A copy of the document is available with The Express Tribune.

Too bad... I was hoping to make some easy m.
(More a comment on how the USSC cares nothing for the actuality of the Constitution [or logic]: Wickard, Raich, Roe, Kelo, Affordable Care Act, Prop 8. — Never Forget.)
there are many really “moderate” Pakistani’s who would agree with the fatwa, they’d say that the present Pakistan constitution and what the Taliban could say they’d prefer are only shades of gray different
they’d say the present Constitution has helped make Pakistan increasingly Islamist and increasingly immoderate over the years
the Islamists within the accepted Pakistan political class use the Constitution and the law, the Taliban don’t mind resorting to violence
