Say Goodbye to your Doctor, Part Deux

Three years ago, many predicted that Obamacare would be rejected by the most important people in the health care business -- the doctors!

Sadly, those predictions are coming true. Here is the statement of one brave doctor to Aetna Insurance.

If you like your doctor, say goodbye to your doctor.

Nearly three years ago (March, 2011), WesternFreePress.com published an article titled “Say Goodbye to Your Doctor.” Even then, it was obvious to those not mesmerized by Barack Obama that Obamacare was going to be a debacle if for no other reason than this: our nation’s physicians are not slaves of the state.

Perhaps, it can be viewed more clearly to say
"Physicians are not the slaves of the insurance companies (a valid contract is valid only through mutual consent) and the Insurance Companies are (or ought not be) slaves of the STATE, except perhaps willingly, mesmerized by the limitless power of the STATE to 'rent seek' on their behalf."

Really?
Are the Insurance Companies legally empowered to commit physicians to State servitude without their consent?
Since when?

Remember all those doctors in the White House Rose Garden back in October of 2009? Remember that sea of white coats (some provided by Obama’s staff) as they gathered around the President, smiling, taking pictures, and shaking hands?

One of the little but most onerous provision of the ACA is that doctors can’t start and own hospitals.

The health care reform measure was passed in March of 2010 that year, it mandates that no new physician-owned hospitals could be built — and that any expansions to existing facilities must be completed by December 2010.

In California a doc signing a contract with one insurance company may unknowingly give that insurance company the right to sell that agreement to other companies. Not unusual for a patient to walk into your office saying you are a participating doc and pull out the roster with your name on it much to the dismay of you and your office manager.

BTW my signature was forged on one of the new California Medicaid insurers. Having a heck of a time getting my name off the roster and no progress with that insurer regarding the forgery.

Since Judges started telling Christians they had to make cakes and host weddings for homosexual couples.

My physician quit as he was just a couple of years older than I. I've had to scramble finding another and had to settle upon a Nurse practitioner locally. I hope Obama’s next physician has a bone through his nose.

Interesting opinion.
Do you think that Obamacare mandates that accepting an ACA plan patient means you can’t say no to unlimited ones means nearly all doctors opt out?
Then we are back to a cash for services model, because so few doctors will be on the Obamacare plans.
