HUNTSVILLE, Alabama - Remington Outdoor Co. plans to open a plant to make and develop weapons in Huntsville that could employ about 2,000 workers, sources have confirmed to AL.com.
The deal is set to be announced Monday at a special meeting of the Huntsville City Council, though sources said there may be a news conference prior to the meeting.
Huntsville and Madison County elected officials declined to comment when contacted about the deal this morning. Officials with Remington Outdoor did not immediately return requests for comment
Gov. Robert Bentley did not directly confirm the reports about Remington, but told AL.com today that a big announcement is coming Monday.

Andrew would never really understand real jobs. I don't believe he's ever had work one. If not for his last name, he certainly wouldn't be governor of New York.

I visited Huntsville for work a few years ago and the people there are really nice, warm and genuine.
Unlike the drones here in Maryland.
So maybe the new Remington R-51 should be nicknamed "the pocket rocket"
I lived in Huntsville for several years and loved the place. This sounds like a great opportunity for them.
I read in some book years ago that the German rocket scientists who were brought to Huntsville, really liked the place.
They contacted relatives back home and quite a few of them came to live in Huntsville.

“Drones” is too kind of a word to describe the liberals/leftists and great uneducated of Maryland, esp. Baltimore.

I left Baltimore in 1966 and only returned for family or business. Now it is only for a dental visit and a Star Trek Convention.
A once great city is now an “Democrat Shitty on Steroids” and the dumb are getting dumber and the Democrats are keeping that way.
Montgomery County is for the rich libs and reds who run that county like a Plantation - welfare addiction to govt programs and keep the good paying jobs for the white liberal elites. PG county seems to be trying to turn itself around (how did that go for the Titanic?). Well, after you put half the government in jail, you might find an honest politician under all that corruption. Wish them well but parts of it are still a criminal’s heaven and an honest citizen’s hell.

Well, good for them. I think they’ll do well down in Huntsville and it’s nice to see potential new jobs these days.
Many years ago, my dad met some of them (including Von Braun) and even played golf with a few. Those were some brilliant dudes. Thank God the Russians did not get them.
Cuomo is a disaster for this state and America this disaster awaits you if you elect Hillary Clinton as your next President. New York politicians specialize in wrecking economies. I live in upstate New York and I watched it deteriorate over the last 50+ years. The Republicans are no better with most of them being RINOS. For example my Republican congressman Gibson is a sellout and now can be classified as a RINO. To make make matters worse he is running against a homosexual who is married to one of the founders of Facebook. Whoever wins will be a loss for New York State citizens. I’m glad we can still move to a more hospitable state when we are ready to go.
LOL. Huntsville is a good fool-me-once location. If Alabama tries to tax them too much Tennessee is only about a mile away.
