Economics Laws 101 for Neu Yuk Dummies.

1. Money and talent are fluid.
2. Money and talent flow away from taxation and regulation.

Neu Yuk is loaded with taxes and regulations.

Remington management wisely noted the recent Goonion defeat at the Volkswagon factory and decided to flow away from Neu Yuk’s onerous taxes, regulations and unconstitutiunal laws.

Socialism is only acceptable to the welfare state clients.

Happily, Neu Yuk will soon have an all welfare client population, their income stream will cease, and they can starve in to dark.

They voted for it for generations - let ‘em be the last generation of treasonous Neu Yukkers.

PS Socialism IS treason.

Why is the totally corrupt terrorist organization known as the United Mine Workers the union of gun makers?

Richard Trumka, the terrorist, led the UMW in there terror in Southweat Virginia in 1988/89

I hate to break it to you but a huge number of NY’ers are moving to the Carolinas, GA, FLA and have been for a decade or more. A lot of the people I went to school with here on LI are down there now. I’d bet that they’ll vote like NY’ers as well...

The Ubermenschen are not to be judged by the Untermenschen!

Besides, what would a bunch of refugees in a desert know compared with an Ubermenschen from Neu Yuk State?

Matter of fact, they couldn’t even feed themselves - so. in a sense they were welfare clients, just like Neu Yuk Sh*ty residents.

How could you question a contemporary Ubermenschen Leader who also feeds Them Asses, wait, make that feeds the Masses?

Fifteen years ago a vendor of mine from Long Island opened a small manufacturing facility just north of Orlando for one special product .

He ultimately moved his whole operation there and all but one woman employee picked up and moved as well. There were big time jokes about being Yankee Deserters and what to call themselves.

A union official said Saturday the Remington Arms Co.'s decision to open a manufacturing plant in Alabama does not bode well for Ilion, and he's blaming New York's Safe Act restrictions on assault weapons.

The whole stinking state is bad for business.

It's a wonder they stayed in NY as long as they did with the restrictive government and high taxes.

I know of two family businesses which are no longer due to NY politics, and it started long before Cuomo.

One business moved out of state to a friendlier state for business and mr. mm shut down his business when we got married and swore that he’d never open a business again in NY again.

BREAKING: Remington Likely Expanding and Moving Numerous Jobs From NY to Alabama

February 15 2014
by Dan Cannon

According to an article by Yellow Hammer News, Remington Arms will be expanding their operations not in their home state of New York but in Alabama.

The announcement is expected to come tomorrow during a press conference with the Alabama governor.

How exactly the New York Remington plant will be affected is not yet known. According to Yellow Hammer News,

“The company is making the move as an expansion of capacity, production and research,” a source told Yellowhammer on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly. “The demand for Remington products has skyrocketed recently, for obvious reasons, so they need to increase their production capacity. They will be expanding their research capabilities with the Alabama plant, too.”

The initial estimated impact on Alabama’s economy will be roughly $87 million.

Please note, this is just one report and we don’t expect formal confirmation until Monday.

The news follows a similar move by Beretta who recently announced they would be expanding not in Maryland, but in Tennessee. Several other firearms manufacturers have made similar moves to leave or reduce operations in anti-gun states.

Magpul, the makers of arguably the most popular AR-15 magazine on the market fought hard against anti-gun legislation in Colorado and even threatened to leave and take their jobs with them if the bills were passed. The bills did pass and Magpul is currently in the process of moving the majority of its operations out of the state.

Finally, this ought to be a reality series on the History Channel....as these New Yorker guys arrive and assimilate in Huntsville. It will be a definite culture shock. Would be worth watching weekly on TV.

Having been born in the Bronx lived there for 10 years, then spent 11 years in NJ, then spent 11 years in Texas and then 25 years in Florida,

I have always said I became a human being after I moved away from the Northeast

I can tell you it would be a very boring show...

Pretty much it would go like this:

New Yorker (know it all): "In NY we did it this way"

Floridian: "STFU asshole and take the first bus back to your state if you don't like it"...

Been there done that ...many times ...

They know they are hemorrhaging and want the bleeding to stop. It actually shocked me for a moment. Never seen anything like it in years gone by.

It sounds to me like NYS is trying to stop the hemorrhaging by sticking a LARGER knife in the wound.

I hear this argument all the time... To the people down South, New York is New York. I know there are conservative areas of New York State... Unfortunately, the only a$$holes that move down here are from the city and they bring their damn voting habits and politics with them...

The time for conservatives to unite is waning... I would suggest you get OUT of the NE while you can... If you are conservative come and join us...

Huntsville is a beautiful area with rolling hills and excellent schools. Redstone Arsenal is there so Remington will have many former military trained gunsmiths to offer jobs. There are probably more engineers per capita in Huntsville due to the NASA site. The cost of living there is less, weather much better, and there is even a significant arts and culture environment. I'd say the employees that do make the move will be pleasantly surprised if they make the jump. Nashville is less than a 90 minute drive from there too.

About the time I enlisted in the Air Force, 1956, a common refrain in the southern United States was the statement that the South would rise again. It seemed like a silly dream in those days, but it has gradually happened. More car manufacturing jobs, gun and ammo, high tech and medicine, etc have re-energized the south and it seems to be here to stay.

Let’s hear a little rebel yell.

IBM is still in New York; where? Last time I was in Armonk it look deserted. Don’t know if anything is left in Binghamton.

Folks are leaving New York like water over Niagra Falls. The race between California and New York is on over which will declare bankruptcy first. Sad to remeber a time when the Golden State and the Empire State would compete on the positive side of the scale.

It is hilarious what is not being said.

“In fact, it has spent more than $20 million on new equipment for its factory in Ilion and added 560 jobs at the plant in the past few years.”

This would be before Cuomo decided to be a jerk. So doesn’t really matter. It can be written off as a loss.

“(The union guy) said he’s worried the company will move jobs out of Ilion, the Herkimer County village where the company has been making firearms since 1816.”

Especially because Alabama is a right to work state, which means the end of his union shop.

Sounds like a great business decision. They open a plant in "right to work" Alabama, using the latest equipment and production methods, and expand their production output in an environment where guns are in high demand.

If gun demand slackens, they can close the old unionized NY plant.

As sent to the author, R. Moriarty...

“Please learn some gun basics. An AR-15 is NOT an “assault rifle”. An assault rifle has selective fire (one trigger pull - many bang-bangs.) An AR-15 is an example of a semi-automatic rifle (one trigger pull - one bang.) It is quite the difference.

Just speculating but it is possible that naive reporting such as yours is responsible for New York’s SAFE Act and the ensuing actions of Remington. If you (and others) hadn’t muddied the waters throwing around terms like “assault rifle”, not knowing the true meaning and definition of the term, just maybe the public outcry might have allowed Remington (and other, I’ll bet) to NOT consider abandoning New York state.

I, for one, will never again set foot in New York, let alone NYC. You guys get what you deserve.”
