Bill Nye “the Science Guy” and Rep. Marsha Blackburn don’t see eye to eye on climate change
Washington Times ^ | 2/16/14 | Tom Howell Jr.

**SNIP**

“What we have to do is look at the information that we get from climate scientists,” she said. “As you said, there is not agreement around the fact of exactly what is causing this.”

Mr. Nye, who recently debated evolution with creationism proponent Ken Ham, said politicians like Ms. Blackburn are exacerbating America’s problems by casting doubt on scientific evidence.

“So what I would encourage everybody to do is back up and let’s agree on the facts. Would you say that the Antarctic has less ice than it used to?” he said, adding later, “You are a leader. We need you to change things, not deny what’s happening.”

Bill is not a scientist. He has an engineering degree just like me.

He has never done research, much less published research for peer review. He has never had to defend his scientific research, etc. He’s an entertainer, who is taken way too seriously by the sheeple.

Its sort of like Al Sharpton is a ‘Reverend’.

Ever notice that when the Liberal Media wants a “debate” on global warming, they never bother to contact this guy:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Spencer_(scientist)

I’d love to watch a debate on the subject between Dr. Spencer and “The Science Guy.” But I’m also guessing that Bill Nye, media whore that he is, would never debate a genuine scientist like Roy Spencer.

It seems Bill needed help, as well:

“Gregory allowed the discussion to proceed despite some terse exchanges, but said he had to step in when Blackburn claimed that scientists lack sufficient evidence to say that carbon dioxide increases in the atmosphere have had a significant environmental impact.

“Well, hold on, I just have to interrupt you,” Gregory said. “I’m sorry, congresswoman, let me just interrupt you, because it’s not — you can pick out particular skeptics, but you can’t really say, can you, that the hundreds of scientists around the world who have looked at this have gotten together and conspired to manipulate data?”

The representative argued that “there is not consensus” that greenhouse gas emissions have had a major effect on global warming.

“But there is consensus,” Gregory responded. “Within the scientific community, there is consensus.”

I don’t like climate change.

I preferred it much better when the climate never changed, when it rained chocolate drops and the wind never exceeded a mild breeze and always smelled like fresh baked pie...Back when it was never too hot and never too cold.

And that's against a female politician, the least likely to know anything at all about science short of a female 3rd grade public school teacher! It's extremely rare for anyone pushing global warming to get as "scientific" as to actually use a measurement like ppm when describing carbon. Usually they just say "scientists all agree that we have global warming therefore vote Democrat". But no one at all is discussing how 1 molecule out 2500 is able to cook the other 2500. Then to try to bring into the discussion the concept of a self correcting system where warmer water actually increases plankton's consumption of carbon... NO that'll never happen. We just get pictures of polar bears, smoke stacks, melting ice, etc. No science ever!

Marsha Blackburn is a hero in these parts (Nashville). She was very instrumental in our tax revolt that occurred here back in the late 90’s. She was referenced extensively in a book that was written about it entitled “tax revolt” by Phil Valentine. Good stuff. Those were heady times. :)

Three networks all assign time on their Sunday talk shows to climate change after Obama talks about a billion dollar slush fund.

Coincidence? No, they’re just working after getting marching orders from the White House. Sad.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

If the science is on your side, you don’t have to shred evidence, hide evidence, erase evidence, invent evidence, and threaten the careers of people who dare to question you. Or attempt to sue them into bankruptcy.

Along those same lines abc, I keep thinking: The Sun is a star. Right? What happens to stars over time? Do they not grow cooler with time and fade away eventually? And is not the Sun the source of our heat? If so, then how can the earth get hotter? Just wondering.

She is awesome. I’d like to see her as a senator, or maybe take a shot at the White House. She articulates Conservative values very well.

Heard over the weekend that our esteemed Secretary of State John Kerry is flying around the world warning everyone to get serious about “climate change” and declaring those of us who continue to deny are a bunch of flat-earthers.

Now, imagine where we’d be if that nincompoop had won in 2004. (Okay, we’d probably be a only year or two further down the chute than we find ourselves today.)

I read that his plane produced 12 tons of CO2, but since he's elite, it's ok for him.

Rush was particularly good today on the subject of global warming.
