America’s Founding Fathers fiercely held to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—values which Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) claimed align seamlessly with Obamacare.
Pelosi explained why the law is “very sound policy” during a press conference Friday:
To go to back to our founders once again, they sacrificed it all for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This law, the affordable care act, is about a healthier life, the liberty to pursue your happiness. That is solid policy, and the mandate is central to that.
This argument should be added to the montage of lies being promulgated by the Obama administration.
More than half of Americans oppose Obamacare and 56% claim the law is more about bolstering government control than it is about helping individuals get health care.
The millions kicked off their insurance certainly do not find the policy freeing, neither do millennials forced to pay for healthcare feel liberated.
Obamacare is precisely the type of overbearing government policy that the Founders would have fought against:

Damn right she is, and I consider it akin to blasphemy for her to even pretend to understand how the founding fathers would view ANY topic. The founding fathers would see her to a prison cell at the very least.

The ObamaCare "tax" is taxation without representation. It did not originate in the House and it was never voted on by OUR representatives. Was forced on ALL the people by Obama, Reid, Pelosi, et al, via duplicitous parliamentary procedure and without a single Republican vote and was ridiculously upheld by 5 black robed rulers. Traitors. This is tyranny.

How anyone can take anything she says seriously is a complete mystery.
Not only did she insult our intelligence and our American heritage by telling us that Congress had to pass a law so we could find out what was in it, but she made sure it passed without ever even reading it herself.
No Republicans with access to a public microphone or forum should never ever hear her name mentioned without bring up those facts.
It is the fault if conservatives and even RINOs that she is not a total laughing stock.

The Founders would be saying, “What the blazes is this?” if confronted with the plan for the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010”.
The only part of the title of that act that reflects even a particle of reality is “2010”, marking the year of its passage. Almost every passage within the some 2,500 pages (itself some kind of monument to minutia) is denial of human spirit, with prohibitions on what is permitted, together with the spelling out of severe penalties for failure to comply.
If ever there were a call for civil disobedience, this document is certainly a rallying point.
“Don’t get sick, and if you do, die quickly” - this atrocity of a law enshrines that principle, while disguised as some kind of benefit for the masses. A massive series of taxes and regulation upon commerce, the very bad law that was introduced with this poorly considered legislation is being routinely ignored even by the people who are ordained by law to enforce it.
If Obamacare is not good enough to be enforced to the letter, it is not good enough to be obeyed by anybody.
If Pelosi studied American history for more than 5 minutes (and we all know she has) she knows that what she said is not true --- it's simply not true. But she wants so very much to believe it she thinks that by saying it out loud it must be true.
Another example (one of literally hundreds I've heard since 2008) -- Just the other day I had a self-described "progressive" tell me with complete certainty and with a straight face that obama is not only an honest person, he is the most honest president we've ever had ... and she absolutely believes that ... absolutely ... oh, and she's an adult not some star-struck teenager.
I ended the conversation by telling her we have a radically different perception of reality. Her response: "OK".

But, thanks to the study program she and obama put me on, I now feel only pity and very, very sorry for her.
Given her age, she likely has but a short time to see her situation clearly before reaping the eternal consequences for all she's done and all she's lead astray.
And, seriously, how likely is that miracle to happen?
