Corsi: It’s Time to Elect Stockman to the U.S. Senate in Texas and Retire Cornyn
teaparty.org ^ | 2/16/14 | Jerome Corsi

(Dr. Jerome R. Corsi) – This week, Tea Party Loyalists need to focus attention on assisting Texas Republican Congressman Steve Stockman in the March 4 U.S. Senate Republican Party primary where he is running against Senator John Cornyn who is currently serving as the Republican Whip in the U.S. Senate.

Here is the main point of strategy: Cornyn is facing seven challengers in addition to Stockman and if Cornyn fails to get a majority of 50 percent plus one vote in the primary, then Cornyn must face-off on May 27 against the second runner-up candidate in a runoff election.

In a head-on contest against Cornyn, Stockman will draw the type of funding that will give his campaign a viable chance of knocking John Cornyn out of the U.S. Senate.

FAX BLAST SPECIAL: Congress has forgotten who holds the power. Send a Powerful Message and a Tea Party Flag To Washington! It is now time to tell our elected officials ‘the Tea Party is Coming’!

Once Tea Party Loyalists understand Cornyn’s record in the Senate, replacing him with a Tea Party advocate like Steve Stockman becomes imperative.

Cornyn’s voting record in recent years qualifies him to be a RINO whose political persuasions are almost impossible to distinguish from the goals of the radical left Democratic Party exemplified by Senate Majority Leaders Harry Reid and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Consider the following:

Cornyn’s multiple votes to fund Obamacare have helped turn Planned Parenthood into a $2 billion abortion machine. - See more at: http://www.teaparty.org/corsi-time-elect-stockman-u-s-senate-texas-retire-cornyn-34881/#sthash.sZDH1mwu.dpuf

Just don’t let the RINOs do the bidding of the DemRats and promote several different candidates and split the vote so that the Dem’s man wins. They’ve already played us using this tactic in other states.

Obsolete RINO “Johnny Corn” has embarrassed TEXAS for far to long.

He has proven himself to be as useless to America as is RINO Loser Emeritus Senator “Wacko Birds” McCain.

In the Texas primaries, there is a run off if no candidate gets 51 percent.
Any vote for any Republican other than Cornyn helps.

I think the important tactic should include a “winner take all” agreement among the other candidates. Not a very public agreement, but definitely in writing.

The idea is that there are likely several of the seven who are good prospects. By signing on to the idea that the other six will throw their support to the one with the most votes, it will be a lot easier to project that one’s strength in the runoff against Cornyn.

But it also shows off if there are any running who are *not* good faith candidates, in that they would refuse to sign. This likely means they either support Cornyn, or the Democrat the Republican winner will be running against.

This means that the good candidates can let it be known that the stinker is a red herring, so should not be given any more money.

In the General, removing Cornyn from Republican party leadership and policy shaping will take precedence over merely attempting to achieve a majority for an increasingly left moving Republican party.

Far more conservative bang for the vote.

Not exactly. Correct that our best chance is to get a runoff, but not just any opponent against Cornyn, the correct candidate which is not nutty Stockman.

Looking at the crazy anti-campaigning Stockman is pulling, is Stockman a Strawman for Cornyn, like the Virginia Libertarian was for MacAwful? It sure looks that way from here!

Do we need to get into the runoff only to find out that Stockman really doesn’t try to win? NO!

Stockman does not have Tea Party support as Corsi “slightly infers”, STOVALL has Tea Party support and STOVALL is actually campaigning.

Stockman is nutty to the sexually liberal faction who would be libertarian if they thought that party could win.

I am a social conservative so I have no problem with Stockman and don’t see his vociferous social conservatism as nutty. Stovall is okay.

I would imnagine that the bottom four Republican candidatees are so weak that their votes would make little difference in a runoff. But the third and fourth placed candidates may have enough to make some difference.

If one thinks Cornball has been liberal thus far, imagine his raging liberalism after his 2014 nomination.

there is already that in place- if cornyn does not get 50% plus 1 vote, he has to have a run-off with the second place guy

Keep Cornyn under 50% and sort out the other stuff later.
A vote for anyone other than Cornyn is a vote for a run-off.
And that is a great thing.

Its Stockman’s campaign that is nutty. I wish it were not so and he was trying better. My concern is if and when we get Stockman in a runoff, is he going to campaign like he actually wants to be Senator or just rollover as the sham he now appears to be.

There won’t be 3 in the runoff, our only choice will be Cornyn or the contender. That’ll be a fine time to realize Stockman was really just Strawman and we’ll have Cornyn to hate for another term.

We will not likely have Cornyn to hate in any case.

I believe he has damaged himself to the point that he can not beat the Democrat in the general.

I would rather see him be primaried though.
