The LAST LINE of Milton Friedman's answer is priceless.

The liberal is whining about how school vouchers aren't any good...Milton Friedman answers him beautifully, and even smacks down the lib when he praises a particular school that was started in Oakland California by the Black Panthers! LOL!!!

Money line....”You are repeating in your words formulae you’ve learned, you are not thinking for yourself!”

Public education produces the farm team for more Marxists coming. And we wonder what’s wrong with the electorate. The impoverished and over educated are their mark. Separate out God and virtue and, wahlah....

I’ve read plenty about Friedman, but never watched any video. He’s remarkable in his delivery. I wish I was half as effective as he was at cutting through with clear thoughts conveyed. He appeared as calm, cool and collected in front of what I assume was a less than receptive crowd.

Oh, you must see him on the 1980s show “Donahue”...the entire thing is (or used to be) on YOUTUBE. Look it up.

Also, look up on youtube his “four ways to spend money” or something like that.

Finally, even though it is PBS, that liberal network aired a show of his called “Free to Choose”...it also is on youtube.

An educator extraordinaire.

over educated

I would not use the word - educate (to bring forth from within). That would require critical, logical, and reasonable thinking. The more appropriate term IMHO would be indoctrinated. I have never in my life heard an original idea from any “Progressive”.

The results are in, making it a given that “education” in the context of US public schools is now overt indoctrination, so I agree with you.

Classical education has been dead for scores of years, along with obliterated definitions of goodness, beauty and excellence.

The residue from a once Christian nation is all that is left to hold the union, and even this hangs by a rapidly fraying slender thread. I think we understand one another.
