"...says no jobs leaving NY"

And he's bragging because 2,000 jobs are being created in Alabama instead of NY?

Maybe the will have a factory outlet. I would love to drive an hour north for a good deal. They will find the state a very hospitable home.

Both upstate NYS and Calif. were awesome in the 50's and 60's.

Now? Not so much.

Did Cuomo just say, “If you like your gun factory, you can keep your gun factory.”?

The only reason there are jobs in NY is because companies are STUCK HERE. They are here because they HAVE to be, not because they WANT to be. Not a ringing endorsement of Il Douche Cuomo.

No jobs lost?

It looks like 2,000 new jobs that would have been created in New York are lost.

I wonder WHY they are not locating that plant in NY?? Hmmm.

Nobody in their right mind would move manufacturing and their corporate headquarters simultaneously. But once the Alabama plant is set and up and running, headquarters will quickly follow. There is no need to stay in NY.

None.

Bye, Bye New York.

One suspects that Mister Azzopardi is lying the kinds of lies that emerge from a committee of Democrats whose charge was to "tell them something that will take the heat of Mister Cuomo."

BTW, there are such things as "multiplier effects"; and, when 2,000 jobs go south (literally, ha ha) the economic impacts will cost even more jobs and create more crime and poverty.

Good article Kevin...NY gun laws and work requirements are driving them out no question...

"The new plant in Huntsville would be about half the size as the one in Ilion....Huntsville is a city rich in technical abilities and a hard working 'blue collar' base...Kudos

Well, technically Coooom-oooh’s aide is correct in the short term. Remington will continue to build firearms at its factory in Ilion, NY for at least another year or so. When the old Chrysler plant (that should read the vacant old non-unionized Chrysler plant that Government Motors closed in a right-to-work state) is refurbished by Remington, look for all new work to go to Alabama and for the ancient plant in New York to become another relic of the age of Democrat Destroyers.

Dear Governor Andrew Cuomo, color a lot of your tax base GONE. Color a lot of union thugs out of work and on unemployment. Color a lot of remaining conservatives GONE. Enjoy, sweetie.

Cuomo may not see the reality of this move until the total Remington Arms company has pulled out “lock stock and barrel”. (What an appropriate term)

In real numbers and real world, YES.

In LIB SPEAK it doesn’t count because they weren’t ‘offered’ to NY so they didn’t ‘lose’ them.

Remember this is the party that will propose a 20 billion dollar raise to something and the other side will say 15 billion is sufficient and the LIBS will cry that the budget is being CUT 5 billion bucks, NOT raised 15 billion.

Of course the R’s and MSM will ‘play along’ with the LIBS and not point out the very obvious.
