Amusing video, worth watching.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKOPPQD9VrM

TOPICS: Russia
KEYWORDS: nsa
The government did a review, or self audit and found nothing. That's really nice to know!

The government has internal self control mechanisms through "training."

So if the IRS comes knocking on my door, can I tell them that I'm having my wife do an audit on us and they need to keep their nose out of our business? Trust us, we read the Constitution and have done an online tax course!

Speaking of the IRS:

(One month later)

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-switch/wp/2013/08/05/the-nsa-is-giving-your-phone-records-to-the-dea-and-the-dea-is-covering-it-up/I

It's funny to hear him, and how many adjectives he has to use so that he can carve this up in some legalistic manner to not sound completely outside of any reasonable scope of what the Constitution allows. Unbelievable, but nothing will change because at this point you just need to give the masses their bread and games. What's happening behind the curtain doesn't interest the masses any longer.

So, will those who went to prison based on poisoned fruit, (NSA feeding information to the DEA) get their cases heard again? How many have you heard of in the last year? Oh wait, zero-

http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/08/05/us-dea-sod-idUSBRE97409R20130805

Who would have ever thought that self professed government minimalists that believe in limited government powers, real oversight and transparency end up blindly supporting this?

Actually ... if you *REALLY* want to be amused then check out the following video that features the CIO of the NSA ... seriously, you'll be more than amazed:

The surveillance of foreigners is legitimate and critical. However, if we were truly in danger in an existential way, and this NSA tool was so important,,,, it would be the worst imaginable crime to use this in the manner it has been.

Maintaining public trust should come before all else with them. Like Caesar’s wife, they should be above reproach in appearances and reality.

Anyone who uses the information for dope cases, harassing political opponents, etc should be imprisoned with great fanfare. The fact that nobody has or will be imprisoned for misusing the information tells us all we need to know. It is probably aimed at internal political dissent, not at foreign enemies.

This bastard is a Constitution defying public enemy and belongs in a Federal Prison somewhere.

Wow-

I assumed I would be attacked for even posting this. I’m truly surprised because the MSM presents this as if there is support for this, or at least an understanding and trust by the public.

This story gets in all reality very little coverage, considering the impact/significance. This issue makes the entire issue of gun control almost petty in comparison. Water Gate was nothing compared to this. It is likely the single most dangerous over reach of government power, the largest conspiratorial event, the greatest infringement of protected Constitutional rights/safeguards, involving the greatest number of government bureaucrats and politicians post WWII. Where are all those people that usually talk about McCarthy and how bad he was for going to far and over stepping peoples Constitutional rights? He simply targeted a few hundred, but these programs target the entire nation. Frankly, I cannot think of any other event in our nations history where you had a usurping of the Constitution in such a systemic and large scale fashion, with such a massive government coverup, where the danger of government going from protector of rights to a beast that serves itself was so great... Yet all we hear about are the gay Olympics, or Miley Cyrus twerking.

I doubt if any real conservative is any longer fooled by this crap.

Collecting masses of data on all Americans indiscriminately with a warrant and in violation of the Fourth Amendment.

Passing a law allowing the FBI and other agencies to bar constitutionally protected peaceful protests from the view of Congressmen, the President and other governmental officials.

Widespread use of no-knock warrants.

Construction of hardened security facilities all over the country.

The escalation of the use of unconstitutional security forces - Homeland Security,TSA, etc everywhere.

Training exercises directed at groups the administration finds politically unacceptable.

Militarization of the police forces.

Mass incorporation of non-citizens in the Military

Continual attacks on Second Amendment rights

Purging of upper level Pentagon Officials who disagree with Obama.

FAILURE TO IDENTIFY MUSLIMS AND ISLAM AS THE SOURCE OF TERRORIST ACTIVITY

Yeah, we can connect the dots alright - and its not a pretty picture.
