Obama Plays Water Guzzling Desert Golf Courses Amid California Drought

After preaching shared sacrifice to assuage the California water shortage, Obama has played some of the country's thirstiest golf courses.

Barack Obama traveled to California Friday to highlight the state’s drought emergency at two events near Fresno, calling for shared sacrifice to help manage the state’s worst water-shortage in decades. He then spent the rest of the weekend enjoying the hospitality of some of the state’s top water hogs: desert golf courses.

Vacationing with DVDs of his favorite television shows and multiple golf outings with his buddies, the duffer-in-chief played at two of the most exclusive courses in the Palm Springs area. On Saturday, Obama played at the Sunnylands estate, built by the late billionaire Walter Annenberg, which features a nine-hole course that is played like 18 holes. The following day he golfed at billionaire Oracle founder Larry Ellison’s 19-hole Porcupine Creek. On Presidents’ Day, Obama hit the links at Sunnylands once again.

Typical.

He doesn’t actually give a rip about CA’s drought and NONE of his policies change anything for the better.

In fact, only the reverse.

Who cares, it’s dumb stories like this that end up diluting the crap he really does.

This must be from a left-wing writer.

TIME magazine is pointing this out?!

What happened, did someone there decide to commit a random act of journalism?

Hope they are ready to get audited.

What a shame a stupid, so-called almost extinct fish can’t be found in the canal(s) that service these golf courses. But then he’d probably sign an EO to be sure water is provided.

Yes and it was another separate vacation weekend for the grifters. Mooch went to Aspen while the bamster played with balls.

Get a load of some of the comments at the Time link from Barry’s 80-IQ muppets (these sorry souls believe in nothing other than complete obedience to him):

Ibcingu
“SO FREAKIN WHAT?? ——— If you were THE PRESIDENT, you’d want a break to get your mind off all of the BS in this world too.———  Don’t judge a man until you’ve walked in his shoes.  This whole freakin story is BS.  It’s not like he’s putting the water on the stupid golf courses.  The idiot in CA are.”

mantisdragon91
“Leave it GOP drones to pounce on the fact that he played golf and ignore the fact that he allocated millions to help the farmers impacted by this drought. A drought caused by Climate Change that the GOP is still denying exists.”

powell
“I don’t blame Obama.  It’s freezing back in the Northeastern USA.  I’d want a paid vacation to wait it out in sunny southwest too . . . if only someone would pay for it.”

mantisdragon91
“The entire GOP platform is one sublime and meaningless issue. What else is there to focus with them. More importantly its sounds rather hypocritical coming from someone focusing on our president taking a two day vacation on a national holiday.”
