Stop blaming EU for your migrant problems: Top Eurocrat accuses (UK) PM of ‘distorting facts’

David Cameron should get his own country in order instead of complaining about plans for a United States of Europe, a senior Brussels bureaucrat said last night.

European Commission Vice President Viviane Reding said politicians need to “work on the quality of education and welfare” in the UK rather than blaming EU rules for letting migrants come to Britain to seek work.

She accused the Government of “distorting” the facts about Europe and condemned Tory talk of “opt-outs, renegotiation and referenda” for “holding back our Union as a whole.”

In a speech in Cambridge, Mrs. Reding said she believed the Eurozone should become the United States of Europe, which would lead to treaty change in Brussels.

But in a rebuff to the Prime Minister, the 62-year-old Employment Commissioner from Luxembourg made clear that he has no prospect of negotiating an end to the free movement of people across the EU—one of the goals for Tories who want to curb immigration. …

Funny how Reding fails to note that the UK is not in the Schengen Area. And the EU needs to be held back anyway.

Work on the quality of welfare?

Is the UK falling behind in it's handouts?

The UK is probably the most generous in terms of welfare benefits. That’s why they’re inundated with so-called “benefit tourists”.

How can anyone think that is a great thing?

Like the “financial transaction” Tobin tax, this is an attack by the EU on Britain specifically.

What’s sad is that the current administration backs the EU instead of the UK. That will not end well.

Brussels looks to the west and sees how a literal swamp was turned into the richest region in America through a strong central government and it makes them salivate for all the wealth of Europe.

If that’s the case, I agree. Don’t doubt you, I just haven’t followed the current guy very well.

Cameron is up against a “tea party” that is calling his bluff on the EU issue.

The UKIP of Nigel Farage has taken a lot of support away from Cameron’s phony conservative party.

The response from Cameron and his cabinet members has been to ratchet up rhetoric against EU and pledge a sort of referendum on it after he wins re-election.

Its all a cheap political show to try to coax grassroots conservatives into supporting Cameron’s re-election.

The EU needs to be destroyed. It morphed from an economic union into a freakish extreme socialist monstrosity.

Europe, stop accepting endless socialist tyranny at the hands of unelected officials.

A more fitting description would be “European Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.”

The plan to do so was already in the 1957 Treaty of Rome, which created the European Economic Community out of the previous European Coal and Steel Community.
