Exclusive: Mega-donors plan GOP war council

A group of major GOP donors, led by New York billionaire Paul Singer, is quietly expanding its political footprint ahead of the midterm elections in an increasingly assertive effort to shape the direction of the Republican Party. The operation was launched discreetly last year, with the previously unreported formation of a club called the American Opportunity Alliance to bring together some of the richest pro-business GOP donors in the country, several of whom share Singer’s support for gay rights, immigration reform and the state of Israel. Around the same time, Singer and his allies also formed a federal fundraising committee called Friends for an American Majority that raised big checks for a select list of the GOP’s most highly touted 2014 Senate hopefuls.

Truth is not at issue. Truths are at issue. There are several.

The base is not homogeneous. With money as a tool, the several truths can be separated and thus the voice of the base is fragmented.

Declaring war on your base seems like a bad idea.

Its a stupid idea and therefore appeals to the Stupid Party.

I noticed that in a tag line of yours was a notation that Obama was a fake black man. This strikes so close to my present thinking that based on known facts he is not a ‘black man’ i.e. African. Instead he is an Indonesian child by a Indonesian cult man who was associated with Obama’s mother and surprise, surprise Loretta Fudy who was involved in an unfortunate airplane crash in Hawaii. The man was Muslim Mohammed Subuh. Search him out for som interesting history. People can be fooled by skin color as I know by personal experience.

And there it is, the real reason for his action.

It has been my experience that those most bitterly and viciously opposed to the idea that is the Tea Party are usually those associated in some manner with the homosexual movement.

I notice there is no support for regular Christian Americans. In fact these "pro-business" donors hold regular Christian Americans in contempt and are trying to prevent them from taking over the Republican Party.

I don’t want a Rino GOP Senate Majority until McConnell is gone.

An excellent point, that needs to be repeated. A GOP majority, but one which is led by the likes of Cornyn and McConnell, is fool's gold. It accomplishes nothing, and makes it harder, not easier, to get where we need to be as a country. There is no path to victory that does not begin with the elimination of RINOs from leadership positions. Whether in the primary or the general, they must be removed from office. It is the only way.

It seems as though the country clubbers are only conservative when it helps their bottom line. Why else would they support “immigration reform” it is nothing but path to suicide. I regret that we lowered thier taxes like we did. If they are going to stab us in the back we should raise them until we have a straight media and the borders are secure.

Singer is the guy heading up the pro-sodomite wing of the GOP right?

Good luck gettin’ my vote, Singer.

Someone tell WHO he is supporting, and I’ll be sure not to send any contributions to them.

Regarding Big Money donors, party does not matter as long as whom ever they put in office does what they are told and funnels government money (stolen from the people) back to them. "Wealth begets power, power begets more wealth". The power elite will not risk losing their control of the political system by letting the little people choose someone to go to DC who will actually serve the people before they serve their overlords. You want a lawful and fair political system? Don't count on that ever happening in DC, take out the power elite around the world and then cull the wealthy elite every ten years.

For folks to get all tied up with federal elections of who is running, who is going to be elected makes for the perfect distraction from who is really in control.

Singer is good on one of those three: support for Israel.

But "gay rights"? "Immigration reform" (in the sense that the writer of this article probably meant)? These are "me too" positions in comparison to the 'Rats.

Never heard of this Singer, anyway. Come to think of it, my guess would be that Singer was a 'Rat himself and is now trying to destroy the GOP as we know it from within with his megabucks. Can someone please find his past political contributions to check this out?

And therein lies the difference between the Tea Party and the GOP. We can’t be bought, we refuse to sell out our convictions, and we won’t compromise our principles.

Amen brothers.

They donate to the GOP in order to ensure that the GOP remains a wholly owned division of the Democrat Party.
