Republican Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert is launching a new political action committee to help defend House conservatives from 2014 attacks from mainstream Republican PACs, Gohmert announced exclusively to The Daily Caller.
The new GOH Conservative PAC, inspired by the Senate Conservatives Fund, defends conservative Republicans from the attacks that come from the mainstream, Gohmert told TheDC. Thats been a problem, weve seen in some races, where weve had leadership come and play and there was no counterbalance. So Im going to do something about it.
Gohmert detailed a long history of struggle and a do-nothing spirit within the Republican caucus, and the depression conservative House members felt when Speaker John Boehner conceded that Republicans shut down the government, a statement that must have been based on reading the mainstream media and failing to read the record. Theres a war against the tea party. Theres a war against conservatives, were told. If somebody declares war on me Im not just going to lie down and take it. Im going to fight, Gohmert told TheDC. Youve got to have money to fight opposition. The leaders in the party raise money so that [makes congressmen] feel they have to stay close to them. If we raise money on our own we can take a stand.
I was inspired by what Jim DeMint did as a senator, Gohmert said, referring to the recent Republican senator and current Heritage Foundation president who formed the Senate Conservatives Fund in 2008, as the tail end of the Bush presidency gave rise to the increasingly intense battle within the Republican Party. We see the tremendous impact the Senate Conservatives Fund has had.
Gohmert bristled at common attacks on the Senate Conservatives Fund, which was slammed as unproductive for the party by GOP Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Rep. Louie Gohmert launches conservative PAC to defend candidates against establishment Republican attacks
This is the full title
Thank you Gohmie...it’s about time
I wish that Louie had decided to fight John Cornyn for Senator. 2014 just might have been his best chance, and his decision not to run might say that Louie thinks Cornyn is unbeatable for now.
Mitch has been pretty much the screen door on the Sub for the last 30 years.
Thank you, Louie, for stepping up. It is damned frustrating to have the kind of "leadership" that needs to be counterbalanced so that the base's will can be carried out.
BTW, who is making that war?
Five easy actions:
1. IDENTIFY Socialists/Totalitarians.
Time to add another PAC to my donation list.
Senator Cruz understands the value of attacking the enemy at multiple points of weakness.
RINO politicians, consultants, strategists, advisors, donors, volunteers, supporters and RINO voters do not understand this, as they tend to focus on one or two points of attack for the entire election campaign.
In this manner, the RINOs ignore the day to day fluctuations of opponent revealed weaknesses, and plod on to their usual, and very comforting defeat.
For example, in 2008 Loser Emeritus Wacko Birds McCain publicly admonished those who questioned the validity of then Senator Obamas birth Certificate, thus assuring McCain of another very successful RINO-Style Defeat.
Another example is when RINO Speaker Boehner just last week chose to cave in to his overriding personal phobia of being bad-mouthed by the Left Stream Media, and took off the House calendar the necessary House Debate on the size of the National Poverty Debt Limit, thus guaranteeing the Conservative Democrat and Republican voters will from then on know that RINOs really stand for unlimited Federal Spending.
BTW, notice how many times RINO Rove says: Republicans should let that go and concentrate on this one point.
Senators Cruz, Lee and sometimes Rand Paul are wise enough to attack on many fronts, and the double down whenever a weakness is detected.
RINOs have refused to learn that the first rule in Federal Politics is to attack, Attack, ATTACK!
The second rule in Federal Politics is to savagely attack ALL weaknesses as they are revealed.
The third rule of Federal Politics is to accept, without question, that ALL FEDERAL POLITICS IS NATIONAL.
Newt, for a brief moment in time, used that wisdom to construct his very successful National Contract with America.
Newts wisdom soon quickly rejected by the rank and file RINO failure leadership.
No political Wing of any political party has ever enjoyed losing as much as the now obsolete, failed RINO Wing of the Republican Party.
House Member elected, House Sobber Boehner even lends a Soap Opera touch to many RINO cave in losses by sobbing frequently.
Democrats and all RINOs still believe the Tipsy ONeal failed con slogan which states: All politics is local.
Democrats and RINOs have used this failed slogan with great success to expand the number of non-working, non-taxpayers on their ballooning Welfare Plantation, paid for by borrowing to increase the National Poverty Debt.
In summary, RINOs belong in the Museum of Failed Politicians, (MOFP), and not on the taxpayers payroll.
Make 2014 the year of the extinct Federal RINO!
I bet Gohmert is sick that he did not enter the primary against Cornyn. He may have had a real chance had he done so.
